  1. I don't' think footwork is viewed the same today as it was long ago. Well, not how it has been talked about by fans for decades. I mean, do the best QBs in the game today have good traditional footwork? I would say they don't. So I'm not sure we missed something. Issue for Bryce is he doesn't have the physical gifts that do and he needs ideal footwork and mechanics to have a chance to get the ball where it needs to get. That what I don't' think the Panthers understood....that his size and arm are an issue. And it's a hard ask to expect him to be so elite that that can easily just deal with his physical shortcomings at this level.
  2. Miles Sanders is an early down runner. That's the problem. We added a different version of Hubbard. I mean, Hubbard at least has improved as a passing down RB some but neither of them are natural passing down RBs. Sanders has always been really bad in that role....which people didn't' want to hear when we overpaid him. Which is just something you can easily add to a roster. Not trying to force guys a half decade into their NFL careers to be good at it.
  3. Tepper hate aside. FC tickets are cheap and good (relatively speaking vs football). I've enjoyed the few I have attended. No emotional attachment but it's a nice thing to randomly go do IMO.
  4. that Miles Sanders deal IMO screws the backfield for 2024. I still think we have a big hole in our backfield given Bryce Young is the QB. We lack a true passing down RB. Which should be mandatory for a QB like Bryce Young.
  5. Teddy B's stats and production isn't what got him bounced after a year while throwing us down the retread spiral. Teddy had a career year. As did basically everyone on O.....and they didn't even have CMC in a weird year of no real camp/prep. It was his mouth and the fact he was starting to say water is wet when it came to a team that wasn't being lead by a competent HC IMO.
  6. you can find a Hubbard or even a better version of him in rounds 4-6. Teams do it every year.
  7. DJ Moore and Adam Theilen ain’t close. DJ can do things Adam can’t. Theilen is ideally a 3 role player on a good roster offense. That’s not DJ. Theilen should be a 2003 Ricky Prohel. That’s the ideal place for him in the NFL at this point IMO on a good roster. I mean in 2003 if we targeted Ricky Prohel 140 times running a bunch of shallow stuff …..he would have had stats in the end too. AT’s prodiction per catch was more in line with TE production than WR this year. He got no juice to do anything with that ball like most TEs.
  8. he has also been on teams who featured Evans/Godwin and Lockett/Metcalf as the starting WRs. So, his teams have not been short on talent at both starting spots. he walks into a team that doesn't have an actual 1 or 2.
  9. I mean, if your HC is a good playcaller....we have seen that work out very well for folks. Both HCs in the Super Bowl are calling the O.
  10. I've watched every game Shipley has played. To me, if you took CMC in Madden and basically made him slightly worse at everything....you get Shipley. I mean, he would be a great 3rd down type for a team. I still think this team lacks that and you really need to incorporate that type player into a Bryce Young O. Rounds 4-6? I most definitely would take Shipley. You can get solid RBs in those rounds. Other positions are more of a crap shoot IMO that late. Good RBs exist there. I still hate we wasted space w/ Miles Sanders.
  11. this dude wasn't just fired for bad and predictable offense. and his OC isn't a random dude he has no connection to and with.
  12. I'm fine with it. Makes sense. I consider the HC the actual OC in reality though.
  13. we should take all our picks and trade up to the first. Hire Marty Hurney to a 2 hour contract to show up at the draft that night and make a selection.
  14. basically make the dad Hubbard. Bryce is the little boy. Now replace the soccer ball with a football. BOOM. We got ourselves a Tom Brady part 2. *editing in now that the vision is coming more clear!!! Make the dad Sanders. Give him something productive to do. I'm sure we could come up some cool nickname for this too. Like some 80s cartoon where the hero robots combine to make a super animal robot.
  15. or....hear me out...inverse pistol formation. Bryce lines up behind Hubbard. Direct snap to Hubbard. Bryce jumps on Hubbard's back. Hands ball up to Bryce. Bryce then has vision over the lines.
  16. I'm talking hidden high heels bruh you got a better idea for Bryce?
  17. I think the smart play is too just pay the fine for Bryce each week for his odd looking high heel cleats. It will slow him down but the heels should help him see some routes he previously couldn't.
  18. we basically need an entire new offense. Like almost every single position. and Burns is the 3rd best defender on the team.

    Olsen

he might could pull Taylor Swift type # adds
  20. huddle consensus seems a better place than Scott Fitterer's brain the last several years.
  21. I mean that FL guy who was running for POTUS had boots that were basically hidden high heel shoes. Maybe we can pay Nike to develop some high heel cleat.
  22. Panthers' Dave Canales co-wrote book on infidelity, addiction (msn.com) I mean, good for him for the recovery. Sounds like our HC has had his own personal battle with some demons. Cheating, porn and booze.
  23. dude needs to hit the cafeteria and the weight room maybe go to some weird part of the world and find some voodoo spell to grow a couple inches. In reality, I think Young could do a great job if his physical tools were better. He ain't dumb. Most is up to the coaches and players around him IMO. That's what it's going to take for Bryce to look good.
  24. I would have traded him for 2 first. Fitt messed that up like so many other things. I would have insisted the Bears take Burns instead of Moore or no deal after Fitt botched the no brainer Rams deal. The solution to a Fitt mistake isn't to make another mistake. Where we are, it makes zero sense to dump big money into the type player Burns is. I've never had an issue parting w/ players. A well run team doesn't pay and keep everyone. We need to rebuild. It should of happened in 2020. It should of happened again in 2023. We keep failing to do the obvious.
  25. are rebuilding team doesn't need to overpay a win now situational player like Brian Burns.
