  1. The college football playoff was the best thing to happen to Clemson. Unless the ACC gets a lot better….they still get an easy path. I mean they have been playing what is one of the worst ACC QBs the last 2 years. And they still are the top of the ACC. That’s a fixable issue. You might not get a Trevor but Clemson should be able to solve the DJ issue next year.
  2. Older people thinking about years past consider Nebraska a blue blood. They aren’t IMO in college football anymore. that’s how I look at it at least How many kids think Nebraska is a blueblood over a Clemson? Unless you live in Nebraska you probably haven’t even seen Nebraska play if you are a kid lol Kids know Dabo, Watson, Trevor and see Clemson as a permanent fixture in college football. I think NIL and the upcoming conference changes will create a new mix of them. No one cares about 30 years ago
  3. I mean, it depends how you choose to look at it….I mean you want to go back 40 years to talk about present day college football? That’s not how I am doing it. No recruit gives a fug about the 80s. Clemson is and has been a top tier program in the college football playoff era. Only behind Bama. I break it down by eras. NIL era is the next one coming up IMO.
  4. CJ Stroud was horrible today too. Weird weather day though in a lot of games. Think he had 70 pass yards
  5. I mean, they have won 10+ games every year for a decade. Them and Bama. Have the 2nd most CFP wins behind Bama and 2 nattys in that window. No one with more but Bama. If Clemson isn’t a CFB era blue blood. Then there is only Bama and no one else.
  6. I mean Clemson has been pretty impressive. Winning a lot of games 2 straight years with horrific QB play. It doesn’t really get stated how bad DJ has been. And I don’t care the freshman threw a pick just now. You put young QBs in horrific spots and bad things happen. Stick with him
  7. I mean that’s 2 back to back PIs on ND they ain’t calling. Same guy. Announcers just giggle at it lol. that’s game at Notre Dame. Clemson got no chance of a comeback if refs are ready to go home.
  8. Trevor was like a lab built QB. Watson IMO had some magic Trevor didn’t Trevor was more consistent over the course of a game. Final drive, I’m taking Watson though
  9. Kelly Bryant was a better football player. DJ a better pure passer. I’d take Kelly all day over DJ in the Clemson scheme. Cade is probably the best QB prospect not named Trevor that Clemson has landed IMO. Watson probably the best QB overall when it all was said in done but he wasn’t as highly regarded coming in
  10. I wish. Dabo has been hellbent on proving folks wrong about DJ. Cade should of been developing and taken over by now. wind is too bad. Need Cade’s legs. It should be an easy call but Dabo going to Dabo
  11. Bezos and JayZ. Bezos wants to likeable.
  12. we are going to finish the season with 5 wins. That just seems to be our destiny.
  13. Jimmy Clausen couldn’t throw the ball downfield. In fact he didn’t throw a single TD pass the entire season to a WR. 89 had a QB issue. Hence why he disappeared. you are playing revisionist history because 89’s 2010 runs counter to your claim. Being slightly banged up never caused 89 to disappear. That year or the others where he was documented playing through them at the conclusion of a season.
  14. Jake Delhomme isn’t on par with what DJ has played with his entire career. And 89 didn’t make Delhomme. Jake’s best season was when 89 broke his leg week 1. and when 89 stepped onto the field. He wasn’t the only legit starter on the field playing WR DJ is a 1. He just isn’t a HOF caliber 1. You are blurring what a 1 is in the NFL. Wanting a Megatron doesn’t make DJ a 2.
  15. #2 all time blocked kicks #2 all time in forced fumbles. Crazy stuff.
  16. 4 seasons in Peppers was ROY, Pro Bowler, All Pro. 4th for DPOY. He also wasn't a pass rush specialist. He was an everything specialist. Forced fumbles, passes defended, blocked kicks, you name it. Basically anything you can do on a football field - advantage Peppers. Burns ain't bringing that package to the table. It isn't close. Don't be disrespectful to what will be our first 1st ballot HOFer. The only one we have drafted.
  17. I don't think it is cynical to say he isn't a Julius Peppers freak DE. He isn't. Jon Beason was a damn good LB. He wasn't on the same planet as Luke Kuechly. DJ Moore is a great WR. He isn't in the conversation with an 89.
  18. again, we don't know that. You can't predict when a player peaks out. But all the great Panther DEs to date, reached their playing peaks about year 4/5. They didn't get more productive after that. That could be Burns. It could not. Burns isn't a freak DE. Peppers was a freak DE. And there is big difference between the two. You can pay Burns a lot of money. It won't make him a Peppers caliber freak though.
  19. We don't know that. This could be his prime. This could be his peak. I'd argue every Panther great DE entered their prime about year 4/5. Some just maintained longer. Like Peppers. Peppers. Rucker. Big Money.
  20. I don't know. Good prospects go to horrific teams and people are closing the doors on them after 1 year and some change. That class isn't close to be in a position to judge IMO. Some are already on their 2nd offense through no fault of their own. Trevor Lawarence's team has held the lead in every game in the 4th quarter but 1 this season. He is young. Makes young QB mistakes. It's glossed over how competitive they have suddenly emerged. and Fields is showing signs of growth too. Especially as they slowly start doing things with him on offense, they should of been doing day 1. They didn't walk into situations like Mahomes or Allen did. Herbert too.
  21. we didn't look like a top 10 unit on Sunday in Atlanta. Beating the Bucs is our signature moment. But given they have lost 5 of their last 6? It isn't as impressive of a moment as we would have thought coming in to the season. The Bucs and Rams also have no ability to run the football. Atlanta did and the D couldn't stop anything they did as a byproduct of that. Not sure I would say we are a top 10 unit
  22. come on bro, you're not new here. the appropriate time to change your stance is when enough time is gone by that most forget what your old position was.
  23. Chubb and 5th FOR 1st, future 4th, Chase Edmonds. basically, one first round pick
  24. yeah, that brings up the issues we have with a mixed match front office. We need a new HC and a new GM. I think they should be paired. Everyone should be working on the same thing with the goals. You want the same timeline on everyone.
  25. Yep. A first round in 2025 is worth a first round pick in 2025. Same for a 2024. It's a first round pick and it carries that value in 2024. It's worth less to someone else today....because most are trying to win now or in the immediate future. So yeah, it's not worth much to the Rams. Right now is their moment. That's not us. Future picks in all honesty shouldn't hold the same value on all teams. Because they aren't all in the same place. We should be focused on building something new. And I don't care to start off the next new HC era by drastically overpaying a one dimensional DE as the cornerstone of a defense. Especially when the pass rushing specialist isn't actually a monster at the one thing he is noted for.
