  1. I was talking about his year as HC in AZ. It’s simply isn’t enough to form a real opinion given he was saddled with a rookie QB he didn’t want. And one that we know was horrific. and as Mr Scott said, you got the wrong year when talking DC. Wilks didn’t lose DC duties. His year as DC is what lead to a HC job. We finished as the #7 D in 2017 with Wilks. 3rd in sacks.
  2. So if Wilks pulled off some miracle 7-5 or 6-6 finish you wouldn’t want him?
  3. I mean there have been those throws. but the bigger issue IMO overall is the fact he can’t use CMC even close to properly. Which is how you help QBs have success. yeah, Baker has blown some easy throws. But Baker overall has been in a painfully bad designed O. Baker hitting those throws he missed doesn’t change the fact McAdoo isn’t doing folks any favors. And he could.
  4. Name a HC that would be good with a rookie Josh Rosen (that didn’t want him)? because that’s the only thing on Wilks’ HC resume. He wanted to go get Josh Allen. Ownership picked Rosen. and I don’t even look at college. He isn’t a college coach. It’s like the reverse of Rhule.
  5. Yeah, because who wants to win. That’s not how the Panthers conduct themselves. 2-0
  6. we haven't been attempting to run CMC every down. So it's not like we tired and failed at it. and the manner in which McAdoo has used CMC in the passing game is too basic and doesn't really take advantage of the mismatches he creates instantly off the ball if you kick him out into the slot (which McAdoo doesn't do) .
  7. we will see, I mean McAdoo hasn't been exactly what I thought he would be. It has been worse. We are going to have to see something different from him. Maybe Wilks can get it. I do believe Rhule's thumbprint/micromanagement brought out the worst in folks. I suspect we will find out pretty quick if that is realistic or not. But if we don't see change from the O.....it's hard to see wins.
  8. I'm sure there are variations of it as much as a BS around here. Largely I think I laid out thoughts they could get somewhere between 4 to 7 wins before the season started. I largely had after the Tampa Bay game as where and when I think Rhule would get the axe. I had a bold prediction that Wilks or Tabor might pull of more wins than Rhule lol. Which has a chance.
  9. Wilks is a solid leader for a NFL squad. He has the defensive talent to do well. He has a coach that can call it. The biggest problem right now is McAdoo can't use CMC properly. If he could do that, the offense could move and he could help these different variations of meh QBs we have to see some success on offense. I mean, you don't have to be a great OC to move the ball with CMC healthy. It will be interesting to see if Wilks can get some shift in what we are doing on O to occur.
  10. The actual mistake was hiring Matt Rhule. Matt Rhule again remains the actual topic. Would it be smarter to give Nixon 2 weeks to prep for a bad Atl team or just give him 1? That's the discussion. My guessing of the actions of a bad football coach in Matt Rhule isn't great. Only thing worse is your prediction of how this season, Matt Rhule, Ben McAdoo, etc. would play out.
  11. lol. Talk about clockwork. Go read the article again. It’s a legit point someone else shared of what a joke HC Matt Rhule was. I mean, just take the L on how wrong you have been about all this stuff and move on.
  12. he practiced Thurs for the media portion.
  13. I mean regardless of what you think of Joe Brady. It’s a bad look in-house. Rhule was called on it at the time. And his justification was such painful bullshit. Basically an extra week of prep time doesn’t help anyone lol.
  14. All professional starts it where 7-0 comes from too
  15. I mean, he is a 3rd string/break the glass type QB. Go back and watch that Lions game. Asking PJ to run some of the redzone plays is simply dumb. Especially one of the INTs. A playcaller asking a backup QB to do that? It was a trash call for a bad QB. That’s on the OC. Redzone is tough for all QBs. If you put weak QBs in bad spots? dumb predictably happens We have a good defense and a healthy CMC. If you can’t compete against meh teams with that combo? Your play caller is simply trash. Which McAdoo is. Which is now the biggest issue overall right now. We got an OC that can’t even figure out how to use CMC. So until can figure out the simplest of simple. He ain’t making anyone else look good either.
  16. So hard to watch coaches misuse players. I mean, I don’t know what Fields can be. But you aren’t going to find out anything by inserting a young Fields into a pro style offense. I mean, why hire a coach that is going to insist of doing that given you just spent a first rounder on Fields. Ron and all the OCs got bashed in regards to Cam. But they designed offenses that let Cam thrive. It likely shortened his career but they should get credit for that because so many coaches fail with the simple things. Cam could of gone to some coach that wouldn’t blend college and pro and frankly never of panned out freaking commentators can figure this basic poo out
  17. Cam won more games in 2020 than Sam and Baker most likely will win combined in Carolina. and the next HC is only inheriting Matt Corral. No one else is under contract here.
  18. Biggest problem there is no one knew how to go about rebuilding or building something properly in the NFL. No rebuild involves dumping poo tons of money and draft capital into busted vet QBs, making your RB the highest paid RB in the NFL, trading away draft picks for whatever, renting win now players for a year, etc. That’s what happened under Matt Rhule.
  19. You have to count Cam IMO against Rhule. He wasn't a free agent. He had a year left on his deal. He opted to cut him, Cam went on to win more games than his QB with what was the worst roster in the NFL that season in NE, and then Rhule brought Cam back to save his job.
  20. well, who is the next HC inheriting. If you take the free agents off the table his entire QB room is Matt Corral. An injured rookie who has never played a snap . Rhule inherited a better QB situation than that. He inherited a great leader. Who while not in his prime, went on to win more games than Rhule after Rhule cut him. I mean, so if QB is the most important spot that exists. Rhule inherited a MUCH better situation than the next guy.
  21. gets weird, Rhule didn't inherit the 2020 roster. He helped mold that roster that existed in 2020.
  22. Yeah, I don’t think it will be “drastically different”. I do expect them to up their blitz % and mix up there zone calls. And when you do that, you have a Wilks D vs a Snow D.
  23. I’m a little confused by this post. anyway, I don’t feel it’s new thread worthy so I’ll just share it here. Take a look at my new PJ tattoo.
  24. Last time we went to the west coast and were 10 point dogs? was also PJ’s last start. And I don’t have to tell you what happens when PJ starts a game.
