got to keep the Bills O off the field and let Rico get us in the endzone. The only thing the Bills actually do okay on D is apply pressure in the pass game. So you can't let them get up (or it could end up lopsided)

Jags got handicapped because every coach was going to be forced and tied to Trevor (who is average and plays the game a very specific way). So while you can do worse than Trevor, every coach that was going to come in would be forced into his flavor of average. NFL success is largely about fit. Players, scheme, and coaches all fitting together. It's why bad to average players can suddenly look good in the right home/team. You never want to handicap your team w/ a huge contract and force everyone's hand....for an average player. *and Bryce isn't in Trevor tier of QB. He is in one ahead of Bryce.
-
Bryce isn't actually showing progress. Saying that is this season's' version of best deep passer in the league. It's just gaslighting. Bryce Young has been below average in every game this season but 2 games....same 2 games where Rico Dowdle channeled Bo Jackson and rewrote Panthers history.

Bryce Young - High Ankle Sprain, out minimum 1 week
CRA replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
I tell you what, it's hard to square Bryce's injuries (2nd time) with the eyeball tests of him up on his feet working out. Cam Newton wanted to play w/ a broke back and only let them sit him a week. -
I guess a better framed question which I tried to do.....is what does a bust look like on paper 2.5 years into a career that a team is still trotting out there and hasn't accepted they swung and missed.
-
what does a bust look like? I mean, let's say someone is a bust.....how would that person look on paper? Say 2.5 years into a career?

7 games this season. Bryce Young looked pretty good in the 2 games so far when there was historic rushing on the back of Rico Dowdle. That's his summary thus far this season. And it's year 3. Bryce Young hasn't really shown any growth nor much improvement. He pretty much is the same dude and threat every Sunday. It's also why every season starts off the exact same.

I don't think Canales developed Baker, or Geno or Russell. It's sort of a weird cherry pick, of what role we give credit for "fixing" QBs. It's an OC here, QB coach here. Baker, Geno, and Wilson all had success in schemes that suited them. Fit matters in the NFL more than almost anything. So does have the talent to run the desired scheme. All 3 of those guys are basically the same QB in terms of the pass game and have success in offenses that attack downfield (with the proper WRs).

I’d take Heineke for this year. Fun to pull for and got some weird gamer streaky play he can pull off
-
We won’t play enough bad defenses most weeks to have a trio getting the rock. Etienne should just return kicks for a while IMO
-
I thought we would win 6 games coming into the season….and I had almost all the wins coming in the exact spot of the schedule we got them. we have backup caliber QB with a healthy roster. Beating the teams we have doesn’t erase that and you will finish with a losing record with that type play on the year
-
Easy. Rico is your featured RB. Hubbard spells him. Etienne comes out of the rotation for now. Rico presently is just a better runner. That’s life. Rotation overall prevents runners from having really good days. Both Rico and Hubbard are volume runners. it’s not a Hubbard diss or saying he sucks to simply say Rico is better enough that we need the best dude getting the ball.

Panthers have the 3rd leading rusher in NFL
CRA replied to Pantherxtreme's topic in Carolina Panthers
He already won it fair and square. Canales just refused to do the right thing -
Big picture, Bryce missing extended time is the worst case scenario for our big picture future. The tough part of the schedule is ahead. Getting to 6 wins after a Jets win (discussed last week) wasn’t a likely path. Now the stans are going to act like he would have had success down the stretch
-
PJ is just as good as Bryce. He just has different good and bad.
-
We knew Dalton was washed last year. We knew it would be worse.
-
His Netflix recommendations are fire
-
Panthers gonna be forced in season to address something that was obvious and needed before the first snap of the season. they mismanaged the roster because they knew any decent human backup QB would auto be competing with Bryce in reality even if he didn’t get a shot. Players would know

Tyrod gonna be much more problematic and make the the Panthers scrap their gameplan if Fields stays out. -

Horrible strategy IMO given what we have been doing. -

Bad throw. One of the WRs ran a wrong route. Overall. Offense has come out a bit sloppy. They should be happy to get a FG. OL needs to get it together too. *but Jets do got some wreckers up front -

I only had an issue with Moore making the roster over him. I mean, have at it lol. Being fixated on Renfrow is weird
