  1. What a minute. What did those 3 Rams tickets cost? Am I reading that right?
  2. Joe Brady would have made sense for a team like KC or Tampa. HC is an experienced NFL OC that likes to control things. Uber talented QB that is going to be involved with play calling. It’s an environment for growth. Which is what someone who has never been an OC needs. See Leftwich.
  3. Teddy had the 18th biggest cap hit among QBs. I realize the dead money was bad. But that doesn’t mean Rhule wasn’t out there making his own mess. We were promised a rebuild. Rhule could of gone that path. He opted not too. Or he just doesn’t know what he is doing. I don’t care about winning if we are rebuilding. He just seems to be wasting our time at this point though. 5 win seasons aren’t all created equal. Depends what has gone into it. I mean his first major decision here was to have CMC be the highest paid RB in the NFL. That’s not how you rebuild. Nor is his mismanagement of the QB spot. Rentals like Reddick. Gilmore. Rhule isn’t rebuilding squat. His actions have always countered whatever Tepper was selling us IMO. Losing is fine if their is vision. Rhule ain’t got it.
  4. Well, he did spend money. It’s was just on the wrong guys and/or for the wrong price. top 4 biggest cap hits were to those 4 he brought in. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/carolina-panthers/cap/2020/ and I didn’t have a major problem with Teddy once they cut Cam. I still think that was the obvious path. Play out his final year and start a new kid. We overpaid Teddy, sure. Pending you were actually going to use him as it set up for it at least made sense. He gets a base O up and running quick and the drafted kid takes over the following year. But it made sense. It’s rebuilding, not about winning there. But again, Rhule botched it all and just made a mess. He doesn’t seem to know what he wants to do and has never seemed to have a real vision or plan on how to build or go forward. Every year is some desperate move for some QB that really fits on a team that is only a QB away. Which is what we are nor has ever fit what Tepper claims we are doing.
  5. Your keep projecting nonsense in order to argue against the narrative you throw against the wall. It’s not my first rodeo.
  6. I have never said that we should of done anything but let Cam play out that last year. The Cam/Ron era was essentially over. But it setup perfectly to end it and transition. Rhule botched it. then botched it again with Teddy. Should of drafted a kid and let them come in at some point in year 2 of Teddy. *Rhule has done nothing but shoot himself in the foot. That’s on him. He clearly isn’t a team builder in the NFL. I was about Cam coming back but only as a farewell tour. Wasn’t lobbying for it as it was out of nowhere. Rhule robbed fans of a legit goodbye the first time so I was excited for the return. But Rhule pretty much robbed us twice of a proper Cam send off.
  7. Rhule went out a spend a lot of money on Teddy, Robby, Paradis, Okung. In fact they were the 4 biggest cap hits that year. And If those are your 4 biggest cap hits you might be bringing in the wrong players and for the wrong dollar amount.
  8. Well, I continue to maintain Rhule botched the rebuild twice. Correct move was to let Cam play out that last year and draft a kid. Once he botched that the correct move was to let Teddy play 2 years and draft a kid in his second season. He botched that. and then when it all blew up on Rhule they brought Cam back to save Rhule’s job. Which Cam did. That tiny bit of hope. Cam stopped the boos. And Rhule wouldn’t of stayed employed if BoA was booing him out of the stadium for the majority of the season. Which was the path we were going down pre sudden Cam add.
  9. It’s an offensive league and he cut Cam Newton. so yeah, going all defense was always a head scratcher. And then following up the next draft using a your 2nd top 10 on a corner….is another head scratcher. the board can largely become whatever you want to make it.
  10. Cam didn’t leave. Matt Rhule kicked him to the curb.
  11. So….you are allergic to my question? The answer to the question basically tells you why people view and look at the Panthers like they do.
  12. Ron and Fox went out and drafted those game changers though. They weren’t on the team. They could of done something different. Ron could of drafted all defense in that first draft. Taken a DT. Plenty said he should of. You can’t really frame it that it is unfair that Fox/Rivera made decisions that worked out really well…that’s the game. Rhule could of gone up to get Herbert. Or drafted Slater. Traded around a done a lot of different stuff. It’s an offensive league and Rhule has chosen to use the bulk of his draft capital on defensive players. That’s his choice. Fox was really a different era. Especially the start of it. Rhule seems to think it is 2002.
  13. We weren’t and aren’t a very good football team. How do teams like that win? Generally they need the ball to bounce their way. And again, it did in our wins. So you can’t answer a question? You just want to get mad when people call Rhule/Sam what they are.
  14. which HC on our schedule is Rhule clearly better than? Which QB is Sam clearly better than? That was my question. *and a healthy CMC playing out of his mind doesn’t translate to wins with bad QB play. We already know that. It’s why it’s a QB league.
  15. List the HC/QB tandems on our schedule where you think we have the edge on both. Using Sam as the QB. then when you are done with that tell me the teams where we at least have a clear edge at either HC or QB. On our schedule. which HC on our schedule is Rhule clearly better than? Which QB is Sam clearly better than. I don’t see how we aren’t picking in the top 10 again. But I’ll listen to an argument.
  16. I said it took the ball bouncing our way to get to those 5. Which it did. and I told you in the post you quoted, I expected us to have a top 10 pick again when this season ends. Schedule projects much harder. So even a slightly improved Panther team might not show in the W/L column. How many teams do I think a Rhule/Sam duo can beat? Very few. Would need the ball to bounce our way a lot.
  17. Burns going down would be big. CMC not staying healthy wouldn't be a shock. Then what are we? We are Sam Darnold and a team that can't stop the run or rush the passer.
  18. I mean, it took the ball bouncing our way to help us squeak out those 5 wins last year. We caught both the Jets and Texans with rookies making their debut starts. Saints were displaced by a hurricane, injured and didn't have most of their coaching staff. Cardinals we got to face their backup QB and had the injection of Cam into the universe mojo. The Falcons had their #1 WR walk away the morning of the game (which shreds their game plan) Hard to project any team will finish last as generally in season events will help sort that out. But I think another top 10 pick is clearly in our future.
  19. Unless it is confirmed someone not named Sam Darnold is starting.....I do not plan on attending a game this year.
  20. and if our schedule was built different last year and we got the Texans and Jets later in the year....I don't think we would have won those games.
  21. I can handle an arguement for the Falcons and maybe even Seattle being in worse positions. Jets, Jags, and even frankly the Texans are ahead of us in rebuilding.
  22. but I thought it was just a bunch of upset Rhule haters painting this picture that we are a joke??
  23. I don't really trust him either. I mean, even if you want to argue Rhule was essentially calling the shots in terms of personel.....Fitty was still part of some really bonehead stuff. I mean, if Rhule really wanted Sam and Robby? Cool. We didn't need to pick up Sam's option, comically overpay Robby, etc. That's not Rhule.
  24. I think WandaVision is the best of the TV stuff. But you got to get past the first two episodes. But overall, I think WandaVision is one of the best things done in this current phase.
