  1. Ron went to the playoffs 4 times in 5 years. That’s pretty good window. Fox went to the NFCCG 2 times in a 3 year span. I think sometimes the no back to back winning season thing can get a tad overplayed. I mean you can find teams that pulled off back to back winning seasons in those windows above….and they were less successful in reality than Carolina.
  2. Rhule inherited the #7 overall pick. He also had 3 total picks in the top 2 rounds. Rivera only had the Cam pick. Nothing else in the top 2. Rhule had better overall draft capital that first season in reality simply because of where his picks were. Ron’s pick clearly was a grand slam. But he opted to do that. That was a Ron move. He could of gone the Matt Rhule route. He opted not to. Cam was not a no brainer. It was gamble and risky pick. Rhule inherited freaking Cam Newton. Probably the greatest leader in franchise history. He tossed him to the side. That’s on Rhule. And Cam had enough gas that year to go on to win 7 games with the actual worst roster in the NFL. He also inherited CMC. Best RB in the NFL. DJ Moore who can sleep walk to 1200 yards with me throwing him the football. Moton. Jackson. Shaq. Basically leadership and talent at every level. Ron, Fox and Capers all walked into poo too. All inherited teams that at most won 2 games. None walked into the door with a leader like Cam Newton or a talent like CMC. Only Rhule had that. Coming off Fox/Rivera we were due a lemon. We we got it. Rhule is clueless. And we don’t need to give him a half decade to get a clue.
  3. Cam actually looked really good In his first start especially factoring everything in. He carried that momentum from AZ to Charlotte. But the D couldn’t handle Heinike. And it took Matt Rhule a half of football and getting abused to realize Gilmore should be on the one good WR.
  4. Question becomes…is Matt Rhule building anything? 5 year rebuild still means very important steps get made over the first two seasons. We have no identity. Nothing to show after after 2 years. He might be making plea to Tepper about remembering the deal. But I’d say Rhule hasn’t upheld his part of that process to date.
  5. Capers, Fox and Rivera all got to the postseason by year 3. None of those 3 inherited better situations than Matt Rhule. And none of them had teams that consistently got worse as the season went on each year. Well, at the end of their tenures. Which is why it was the end.
  6. Only took 2 years to win a Grammy after his debut album. Rhule made his debut in 2020. Jay Z was a superstar by now.
  7. Matt Rhule would be gone midseason if we started 0-7 or 1-6. Fitt put together a staff that could handle the entire Baylor squad walking all together. Rhule was being boo’d out of Charlotte last season until Cam saved his job. And that is exactly what that PR stunt did.
  8. Tepper said Sam Darnold was a very good QB repeatedly right before the draft. Tepper says things that aren’t true to the media and public. This is not a unique concept. *spoiler alert* Tepper does not think Sam Darnold is a very good QB
  9. Yeah, when long time and known beat writers come out with something? yeah, I generally think they have it nailed big picture more often than not. and that same reporting said Rhule would get this 3rd season too.
  10. I think Matt Rhule sucks as a NFL HC and I think most get that. Think my eye sight is pretty good in that direction.
  11. https://sports.yahoo.com/report-david-tepper-unhappy-embarrassed-162437347.html yeah, just referencing legit reporters who cover all this isn’t tinfoil hat territory *also, NFL guys have also reported Matt Rhule isn’t going to be sad to leave either when the day gets here.
  12. I mean the embarrassment was not just over Rhule…but the contract as well. Firing Rhule in year 3 makes Tepper look better. Especially as you seek to woo someone new to come here. *and again, the reporting is Tepper and company are looking around at who they will be interested in wooing. Tepper had to address that today I believe. Rhule knows he is a dead man walking this year. Just go watch those draft pressers where he finally was allowed out of the basement.
  13. Tepper said Sam was a very good QB. Repeatedly. that’s basically how I view his Rhule talk. He is stuck with Rhule for one more year. Clearly has little confidence in him based on reporting of his embarrassment….and the fact he clearly stripped Rhule of power. It’s a lame duck year. GM built a staff to deal with the upcoming in season firing too. Even planned ahead for if Snow follows him out of loyalty.
  14. Ron and Fox are what they are. And what tier they are in is determined by comparing them vs their peers. so if you look at NFL coaches over the last 30 years? Ron and Fox were good. It’s not easy to do better. Everyone wants better. It’s easy to do worse and most coaches over the last 30 years are worse than Fox/Ron. Ron finished with a winning record. A winning postseason record. 3 division titles. 1 conference title. That’s a good run. Fox had a good run. Those windows came and went. Rhule isn’t them. He didn’t to come in as one of those type coaches. His teams don’t look like there’s did. His teams get worse as the season goes on. That’s not what Fox and Ron teams were about. They finished strong. Grew and got better even in a losing effort. Rhule teams basically look how Fox/Ron’s teams looked at the end. When we all knew we were at the end.
  15. Ron didn’t inherit Cam and Luke. Ron went out and got them. Ron built the Ron era Panthers. Ron had more to work with because of the decisions Ron made. Rhule was allowed to do whatever he wanted. He opted for Sam and Baylor/Temple guys. Rhule is why Rhule is working with that he has.
  16. Yeah, again, Fox and Ron were solid NFL coaches. Breaking them down doesn’t change the tier that they reside in. Rhule will make franchise history this year with his 3rd consecutive losing season. He is a college college. Simple as that. He is a solid college coach.
  17. Rivera was a very solid NFL HC. Like a John Fox type. and you pair a great QB with that tier HC Matt Rhule is NOT that tier HC.
  18. he pretty muched solved it overall. Fans overall were content to have him back and lose every game w/ him. It was basically a real goodbye we never got to have. Rhule even robbed us from that at the end.
  19. you said you saw 12 wins. Just trying to figure out what you were seeing.
  20. The last two home games prior to Cam’s surprise return….you could hear the boos from BOA on the TV coverage. And there was a LOT of season left. Cam solved that problem for them.
  21. 1-4 at home, McAdoo coaching the Bengals game
  22. 5-7 wins. That’s about it. Tougher schedule than last year too.
  23. Yeah, that rough. Sets up for a 2-5 type start having decent odds.
  24. I mean the Panthers are probably eyeing a lot of coaches. I think people have forgotten how bad it got for Matt Rhule before Tepper brought in Cam to calm everyone down. Has potential to get real ugly quick this year for Rhule
