yep. We scored that TD with 3 minutes remaining. the argument set out above in the article is if you are down 15 in the middle of the 4th quarter. Which is more than twice the time we had. You have time to deal with the consequences of not converting. A bad Panther offense doesn’t have the time to deal with not converting with 3 minutes on the clock and needing two scores.

I might could of accepted it if there was more time. We scored that TD with 3 minutes left in the game. We just don’t have the O for that.

That’s a blog post by an unknown guy that essentially claims Steve Spurrier is the only guy who gets it. analytics call it a push. They don’t call for 2 there for everyone. But who you are as football team and your game then has to factor. Our O sucks. We are defensive dependent on them to make plays.

it was literally discussed live on air during the game. nothing about this current Panther squad and our O…..suggests going for 2 then is the smart call. Pure analytics isn’t football. We also talked earlier this week about how we were overcommitted to it and it likely impacting play calling effectiveness.

I think he is presently the 2nd worst NFL HC. Only behind Urban. He is way worse than Rhule.

You kick the XP. You make it a 1 score game. That’s basic game management. You fail to covert and you give yourself no shot as it remains a 2 score game. you prevent your team from having a shot to win. The false start forced Rhule into the correct call. It’s typical Matt Rhule. And it’s why he is pointless. Just like a new OC was pointless if Rhule is here. Same horrible situational stuff was called late in the game.

It’s his offense. It’s his players. He has had 2 drafts and 2 offseasons. he isn’t a bystander. Andy Reid and Belichick aren’t going to make CMC the highest paid in the NFL. They aren’t going all defense in their first draft. They probably aren’t drafting a DB in the top 10 of the second. They aren’t bringing in Sam. They aren’t doing all the other stuff Rhule did….

About why he attempted to go for 2 when a XP made it a 1 score game? or all those poo play calls late by his best friend that made no sense? The exact same type Joe Brady called? Same horrific situational stuff. Plays designed short of the sticks, all go routes, etc?

Who would you say was a worse HC coach? Fox, Rivera and Capers were all easily better. Seifert had a rough go. But probably forgot more about coaching in this league while employed here than Rhule will ever know

someone once outlined a different way to win. pay your RB more than anyone else in the NFL, largely only draft defense. Add the worst starting QB in the NFL to lead your team and try to put together the worst OL in the NFL. Oh, yeah, and lots and lots of Baylor and Temple guys.

How many picks we got left? Rhule probably would package them all up and brag about how we now have a highly touted former 3rd rounder that just needs to play within the system.

Matt Rhule was a defensive line coach 15 years ago at Temple. Hardly seems to have the resume to run a NFL defense. Maybe the Giants need someone to mismange their pro shop. Matt Rhule would probably stock the shelves with Mike Glennon jerserys.

Joe Brady alone doesn't work for the scapegoat route. I mean, so much of the problems in Carolina have nothing to do with Joe Brady and his playcalls.
