  1. well, that the 2 coaching goats of the Carolina's. Not sure you can really add anyone else on par with them. I'm cutting Belichick out and putting him to the side. Clearly the GOAT.....but dude wants back into the NFL. I doubt he has any interest in sharing/helping any NFL team out. That's not very Belichicky.
  2. I don't know. I think we are way too run dependent to just be carrying 2 TEs into a season. Think that's just too light in the run game. and we just don't run the type O IMO to need 7 WRs.
  3. I think Coker is basically a lock. You have to separate out each WR position. If XL or TMac can’t go…..who are inserting into their roles? it’s not Renfrow, AT, or Horn. I mean you can but they all would suck. And that’s assuming TMac will be ready and good enough for every down work to kick off the year I think you carry 6. Make Moore the odd man out.
  4. Sir, this is a message board in the year 2025. Get off my lawn.
  5. We still drafted him where we did because of his tools and ceiling. Sure, hands matter. But that was never a XL thing to work on coming in. He was a rookie. I put the drops on that given it wasn’t a college thing coming into the league. Almost all the rookies of his class had really high drop %’s minus Ladd I still don’t see an argument Moore, Renfrow, AT, Horn, etc have a higher ceiling. That leaves it being ONE person that that could be argued has a higher ceiling. TMac. And we haven’t even seen him play a preseason snap yet. Ceilings and who will actually be better aren’t the same things. I honestly think literally as of today, you could argue Hunter Renfrow is the best technical WR on the roster. His ceiling is just low and a niche player.
  6. TMac a more polished WR coming in. XL IMO is better built for the NFL when you look at his size and speed combo. XL was a first rounder because of his potential/ceiling essentially. TMac sort of got a quirky skillset. Not super fast and doesn’t play really like his size suggests. If Horn projected with a high a ceiling he wouldn’t have been a 6th round flier.
  7. XL IMO has the highest ceiling of any WR on the roster…. he has one season in the books as a rookie with inconsistent QB play. People are way too hard on XL IMO and I will continue my prediction here, if Renfrow can stay healthy….top 3 in receptions
  8. Neither AT or Coker IMO are really ideally what a team wants in the slot. I like Coker as a backup to TMac or XL. No point trading Coker. He doesn’t have real trade value and it wouldn’t be getting rid of a solid developmental guy that good by a really nice role player for us
  9. could we use a Devin Lloyd type? probably. does Coker really have anything to do with that type hypothetical? I don't see. I think most teams generally have their own version of Coker (which doesn't make him relevant in terms of player acquisition IMO.
  10. Jags got BTJ and Hunter. So you gotta start sliding that scale down to 3, 4, 5 area and competing there. Coker is cheap and promising. XL or Tmac could get hurt or struggle. That's his spot on the roster. Basically everyone else is competing for slot or spread it out 4 wide type stuff.
  11. True but in the last decade….only QBs (7) and WRs (2) have won the award. One DB. It’s a passing league and a story driven league
  12. Sure. Everyone is going to get cooked and do cooking. No one day means that much. but to claim Andy only sees backups and Bryce only sees starters is disingenuous is the only point I was trying to make.
  13. I mean, Bryce got picked by Shemar Bartholomew today. Bryce isn't getting Jaycee Horn all camp.
  14. they classify as PEDs.
  15. that's one thing Clemson football has going for it from a fan perspective. It's about as close as you can find to the old way of things. So you pretty much can follow a kid for 4 years/develop and root for them vs just tuning in for this year's rentals that probably come from "rivals" or wherever. Clemson doesn't need to join the SEC. That kills the SC rivalry. Which is basically built in joy even when your team sucks because of tradition. Money killing tradition/rivalry is the death of college football.
  16. money is ruining college sports. and it won't stop until college sports isn't worth watching. I don't care about UNC football but UNC basketball, Duke and all that......it's sad to see that die.
  17. it's not a "wish"....it's just acknowledging our total situation. And once you do that, you can see the path way. starts with QB and his style of play. Bryce just flat out isn't a natural deep passer. The vertical deep ball isn't his thing and even his throws on outs and comebacks on the sideline leave you feeling uneasy. So where does Bryce natural like to go? Middle of the field. Which is why an actual old dude has dominated touches since Bryce Young has been behind center. AT is a half decade older than Renfrow. Then you acknowledge what a healthy Hunter Renfrow is....a WR who lives in the part of the field BY naturally likes. A WR who factually just runs better routes than ANYONE on the team in that area of the field.....and can get open better than anyone else in that section of the field for what would be relatively easy throws vs what raw rookies or sophomores will be running on the outside. So top 3 in receptions (not yards)? That's not a far fetched idea given what we are. I wouldn't predict Hunter could pull that off if we inserted Jake Delhomme in the lineup. And I don't equate the prediction to somehow meaning we aren't throwing to XL or Tmac. But in this scheme, they both setup more lean toward being chunk ball WRs IMO. *Hubbard was 3rd in receptions last year....and that was 6 less than the guy who was #1. So yeah, Renfrow could do it if healthy. Hubbard 3rd the year before as well with Mingo at #2. Right now our roster is slam full of dudes so young we don't even know if a QB can depend on them to be where they are supposed to be every snap.
  18. I like some good ole scuffling in practice. I do question the intelligence of dudes that throw hands though on a football field. here is an example of 2 players showing good football IQ. don't swing at nobody until you pry the helmet off. Throwing hands is a good way to miss the season pending you are an offensive skill player that needs their hands.
  19. only lock I think in time is Luke. 89 and Cam are bringing more things to do the table than just ball and it gets really weird with them IMO. As in, a lot of voters just aren't going to like them....and there will be tons of easy options for them to pick over them when it's close decision for a voter.
  20. Hunter Renfrow getting punt return work per Canales
  21. I got Luke in before 89 or Cam I still think Luke is technically our best player. He just played ILB which isn't a premium spot.
  22. I think they are Carolina Legends that will be properly celebrated in our Ring of Honor one day. I'd put TD over Olsen in pecking order but it's close. But they aren't making the HOF. The ACLs ruined TDs chances and Olsen will be swallowed up by TEs with better stats and rings.
  23. Vintage Hutner in action on this route cooking this dude up https://x.com/kassidyghill/status/1949177044434366949?s=46&t=f55N0zsNFevD-XGJBWj1-A if healthy, he is not going to be #6 in reality
  24. I'm thinking about walking on. Been bulking up the last couple years for this moment. Got some good midsection girth going on. I'm good for one tackle.
  25. Think he is on an extended vacation if memory serves. Or at least his old user name is.
