  1. I mean, Jim Caldwell/Dave/Nicole being 3/4 of the hiring team is a red flag in itself. First internal question I would have is how the fug is Jim Caldwell still here and why is he involved in this. I mean, if you have followed the Panthers and what has been reported......I would pull my name out and stay where I was at another cycle. And they are dicing the GM job up. Not that it is an issue in the big picture but it is red flag for Carolina to do it if you are a new hire.
  2. Going to brace myself for Dan Morgan's first move.....to insist Brian Burns is the key to the Panthers future and help pave the way for him to be massively overpaid.
  3. Jim Caldwell probably recommended Dan Morgan. He was on the search team lol. No way this is the formula to fix the Panthers. It's the leftovers from the mess. look like other NFL teams aren't the only ones ripping off Tepper. The search firm got a check for Dave just to do whatever he wanted.
  4. basically the repeated pattern. Tepper just liking guys. Maybe Dan Morgan got behind the counter at the pizza joint and Tepper appreciated that being a former short order cook. I mean, there frankly is no reason given how bad this front office was for Morgan to get a promotion right now. The only argument would be if Dan went around yelling about how everyone was wrong and stupid the last several years. But he would have been weeded out per reports a long time ago if he wasn't part of this nightmare consensus team.
  5. Matt Moore would go on to finish out that season strong with a 4-1 record
  6. I still can’t get over the worst team in the NFL….promoting from within to “fix” the gigantic mess.
  7. The 2001 team won 1 game. Hurney was actually really good early on. Drafted well and did FA well.
  8. He was significantly better than Fitterer. That’s my only point. He had strengths. He had highlights to offset bad he did. The Fitterer era Panthers were a unique poo show in terms of talent and mismanagement of resources…..and also of lack of understanding the matching of talent/scheme. Hurney at least added players that made sense and fit what his coach wanted to do and hit some grand slams.
  9. Marty Hurney wasn’t actually bad. He was decent. Fitterer was bad.
  10. Dan Morgan is part of the brain trust that brought us the 2023 Carolina Panthers. The saddest roster in Panther history. Seems like we are content to Keep Sucking.
  11. So, play outdated football from a different era like Wilks did with them to mask their issues? I mean, the big picture direction of a football team shouldn’t be focused on masking what an OL can’t do. We should get an OL that can pass protect. The league literally is slanted for teams to pass. The NFL is basically about finding a QB and going through him.
  12. Caldwell survived the Panther Game of Thrones. Got to think he made Tepper happy to still be catching paychecks and new gigs. Tepper probably just buying a voice to echo him and his wife in the group discussion
  13. I don’t get this Tepper narrative. Tepper has no problem scrapping a plan and going in a new direction. He has a thousand faults as an owner. That doesn’t seem to be one. His Panther history, FC history and just generally business from RH to Eastland to whatever. Tepper changes and moves on as quick as anyone in the NFL
  14. Big dislike. same logic of why I wanted Fitterer fired with Rhule. Dan Morgan has been part of horrific player management the last several years. In an organization where it was reported Tepper had been weeding out non yes men types. And there he remained. I don’t care to imagine who owned what % of the all the many many bad player decisions we made….there have been too many for the “answer” to of been on the roster logic. loved the player. And he might be great. But the looking for the answer inside the mess we have been is a tough sell.
  15. A guy is literally given a job/task….go out the and claim Bryce Young actually is more promising than CJ Stroud. He then does it. The entire ESPN model and elsewhere is just to stir drama and say things that generate views at this stage. What is said on those shows should never be mistaken as what the masses think Skip Bayless IMO really figured it out the best and it’s all been a rocketship downhill ever since
  16. I've never seen anyone compare Josh Allen to Tom Brady. Or Peyton Manning. I have seen some suggest this era of fans have a Mahomes/Allen battle to enjoy year after year in the AFC now. Sometimes a Burrow thrown in there. Which is largely true. It's the best QBs of the era going to head to head on repeat. Prior era had Brady/Manning.
  17. post rookie season playoffs every season averages 40.4 total TDs a season. I mean I don't watch ESPN, but the average for Josh Allen is a dream season for a Panther fan. Is ESPN saying he is Tom Brady? If not, I don't see how he is overrated. I think Mahomes is the best QB in the NFL. Then you got to start talking about guys like Josh Allen.
  18. Josh Allen has made the playoffs every year of his career except this rookie season. Seems to be rated about right if you ask me. No one that I see here is worshipping Josh Allen.
  19. you just seem to not like Josh Allen. Again, it's got a Cam energy to it. Cam Newton wasn't actually the problem of the Cam era. Rosters with gigantic holes all over it was. Was Cam flawed? Sure. But that never made him the problem in the Cam era. What is the problem for the Bills? I would say it's a conservative defensive HC holding them back in a conference with all the good QBs. Josh Allen has been to the post season 5 straight years. Bills got a pretty dang special guy behind C. They need someone to get them over the hump. Generally, it's coaching or QB play that stalls a team when they reach that level. My money is on the coach.
  20. CRA

    Apple Vision Pro

I think there is a reason why Meta, Google, Apple and everyone is sort of on this kick though. Think it's basically the baby stepping of wanting to combine machine/human. Hard to see too far down the road but I think they basically want everyone to have access to everything....without having to have a device in your hand.
  21. I'm no longer in the we need legit competition camp. I don't want some old JAG QB coming in if we bench Bryce and leading us to 7 wins or something. I say we start Bryce and if he continues to stink.....we ride him to another top pick and part with him. If instead he develops and improves? Fantastic.
  22. Oh, I don't disagree. Reid > McD and I don't think it's that close. Which roster would I rather have? Give me the Bills today vs KC today.
  23. yeah, see what you did there. Your argument is essentially you acting like those that disagree with you....believe things they don't. Josh Allen isn't a perfect player. The Bills however do not have a QB issue. That isn't why they went home. Bills just needed to be healthy and they are in the AFCCG. But that's sports. You give them a healthy D and their #2 WR. They are beating KC last night.
  24. dude signed a half billion dollar deal (450M). Now, granted, it really isn't that. But to act like Mahomes choosing to play for less for the good of the team just ain't something I am buying. Again, he is 25% of the cap next year. 1 dude. Did they keep Cheetah? Who wanted to stay there? Issue was money. They got a cast of JAG WRs and rookie contract talent outside of their TE. The O skill talent is basically Kelce and JAGs/rookies. Which is a big part of why KC has been so ugly this year. It's easily the weakest team they have had in a couple years.
