They both are possession/chain moving slot WR. They serve the same function. One is younger, quicker, gets open easier, and plays ST The other has better hands and a better build but both serve the exact same purpose for a team

Horn was out on the field as they ran the clock out last night. That tells you about Horn Jr. if they trade AT….its because Coker and Renfrow can do what AT does

AT came back for a check. Now, give him an option of Minny vs here? I bet AT would prefer to leave and I doubt it’s that close. so the math is open and known. Minny wants him, AT will want to go….so it’s just the Panthers getting something of value from them. Which I assume will be a draft pick

It’s a Tepper owned team. No way we don’t see some sort of big change if they only win 6 IMO. GM/HC/ or QB. Someone getting replaced.

Is it still 6.5? the division IS super bad but I’d still take that under

Preseason Week 3 - vs. Pittsburgh (practice tweets, discussion, etc)

We can call the defenses a push. I think the Jags O is better and looks better coming into this season. Plus it’s at Jags. Jags will be rightfully favored -

Hunt when asked about how ready they were….didn’t really display a lot of confidence with that BS answer lol just lie to us Hunt. Dang. -
6ish wins Evero fired at the bye Huddle ends up going hard at Morgan and Dave. Huddle largely tires of BY who isn’t bad but also just doesn’t generate enough offense and is pretty bland (outside of quirky scramble he pulls off randomly every other week) but a hardcore pro BY faction remains.

I think odds are the start of this season is going to look a lot like the last 2 starts -

just take knees. You aren’t evaluating anything. the Jimmy Horn crowd gonna be mad. I just don’t see how he has much of a shot given he is closing out this game as they run the clock on the loss -

Everything with both of them is basically…sure we look bad in the tiny bit you see us but man, the joint practices were really good so….(despite it being just a pretty generic mixed bag practice in reality). -

Preseason Canales to me…is too similar to preseason Rhule. I hear them talking….but most of what I see doesn’t seem like they are really good and know what to do with their preseason. -

He got nothing to lose. Playing smart vs insurance salesman and punting isn’t going to do him much good. Sort of got to hold on for a 3rd down first down opportunity -

Listen we hired a bunch of search firms to find us a GM. but it turned our Frank Reich era Jim Caldwell figured it out for free for Tepper and found the answer right here in the mess Dan helped create it’s still amazing how that happened lol -

Perkins has been here less than week. Was it perfect or great? No. Probably better than Plummer though. Again, just a week. Put him on PS vs Plummer -

They literally just pulled him in this week. Plan I would think is the 2nd half is his -

It’s time for the percolator! Put Perkins in at QB -
I think after the Rams loss entering that late bye week screams Evero is gone.

reporting was always that Tepper was part of the fire Mike Tomlin group that made that big push from within a couple years back

I mean I don't have a personal axe to grind with any human on the Panthers roster. I know AT shouldn't be dominating the slot. The fact he is....is because we have a horrific front office/management. I can part with any player. The goal is a winning team. the root of the AT ranting, is really just looking out for BY (people like to call me BY hater though). A QB who was basically screwed from day 1 when we got drafted here. I went hard at Carolina then too for setting him up to fail. Because it was obvious from the jump the setup was failure by design. Which was true. I said Frank made zero sense with BY. Miles Sandes made double zero sense. The players they got in FA made zero sense. Either you build a BY O.....or you move on from BY. I have said I am cool either way. We are in no man's land and have been there since they day we drafted him.

ESPN analytics has AT with the 135th YAC rating out of 149 WRs in the NFL last year. Dead last in Carolina. 274 out of 312 the year before. Dead last in Carolina. NFL Receiver Scores - ESPN Analytics it is a AT thing. Despite being bad, AT actually occupies the WR spot where YAC production is most easily generated by players. Should be easier for AT than XL on the outside (in a Dave O w/ BY) The most productive WR position in a Bryce Young O likely SHOULD be the slot. Not out wide. Which is why you don't want AT dominating it. Because he can't do anything with it accept meet the floor of plays. An ideal BY passing O would favor the slot, TE, and rec RB given what his arm is and how he plays the game (which we all largely agreed the short quick game was our direction when we drafted BY). Every spot and role is different based on scheme and QB. Slot w/ BY should be a YAC centric spot.

This is about getting open and YAC....and the QB we have. You basically are just highlighting average depth when targeted vs 2 players. . And yeah, I often say AT is a small slow reliable TE in terms of what he does for us. That's what he is. I think a couple of you want to make this into a Renfrow argument. I'm a Renfrow fan. Renfrow does not check the box of what a BY O needs either at the slot. Renfrow just a niche roleplayer at this level. it's easy to look up how horrific AT is with the ball in his hands and in terms of getting open.....and it's also easy to look up what a low ceiling of an offense the steady AT diet produces w/ BY.
