  1. I want ZERO to do with Sellars if he comes out this year. He flat out isn't on pace to be a good enough passer for some NFL team to throw him out there early simply because the team stinks. If Sellars is smart, he will stay in college (first round NFL money, no longer has the power it used to)
  2. this all sets up as the textbook game where Miami embarrass a bad team. That's what they do w/ McDaniel.
  3. The Renfrow comment is just to highlight his ball placement really shows itself with tiny WRs and it’s bad. Horn is even smaller by a decent margin. And Bryce’s deeper throws often aren’t NFL deep balls. I can just see Horn getting smashed because it should be obvious when they want to get him the ball
  4. My concern remains Bryce doesn’t seem to be able to put a good ball on tiny a WR and and Horn gets blown up on intermediate-ish deep ball
  5. I will be shocked if Horn takes reps on the outside. Hunter Renfrow is big compared to Horn.
  6. we spent a decade basically wanting to get away from the brand of football that Fox/Rivera offered us......and now we would sell our right pinky toe to get back to that (which was Wilks) if there was ever an example of the grass isn't always greener.....
  7. Horn is going to come if for some telegraphed schemed up plays where everyone will know they are going to attempt to give him the ball
  8. Not sure if Miami having a bad D really is going to matter though. Cards, Patriots, and Jags all have worse pass defenses to date (but I do think Miami has secondary injuries).
  9. I mean, in all honesty, it shouldn't change much. Is he better than Rico? Sure. Is it by a big enough margin to alter that much? Not really. I like the way Rico runs. He isn't as patient as Hubbard which I think leads to greater chances of big runs but also more negative runs
  10. it's not an excuse really. It's just acknowledging realities. And it really appeared Carolian acknowledged it and moved on from Bryce Young SUPER quick a mere 2 games into the Canales era. Morgan fugged up by not trading Bryce then. They let him back on the field and they screwed themselves with this pointless year. I blame Tepper/Morgan more than Canales. Canales is what he is. We know what we were getting. We knew his tree. He was also blunt about what he was. From the jump, Bryce didn't fit. Seemed like they acknowledged it last year and then went stupid.
  11. I love King. I just don't see him as a NFL QB. Well, I don't see him as a starter. But I personally wouldn't mind a Taysom Hill backing up my franchise QB.
  12. rookie Cam was just such an anomaly....it would have been a problem for all these bad teams we got early. Cam actually had a tougher opening schedule in hindsight and was still a problem for those folks. Only 3 of the opening 8 finished w/ losing records
  13. Rookie Cam would have faired well with this opening schedule of 2025. Probably 3-4 wins through the first 7 games. Cam auto increases the odds for more explosive pass plays (we are the worst in the NFL). The arm and play extension is in a different universe. And Cam paired w/ a solid RB is just a problem for a defense. So Cam auto improves a bad D because Cam is going to have them playing fewer downs vs Bryce.
  14. recent history says, college has no problem with David Tepper nightmares to come work in the semi pro league of college football. Rhule and Frank HCs.
  15. I'd day the 2011 team was a dang good setup to drop a QB into. And by week 1 it certainly was. Pro Bowl LT, our most underrated OG of all time, Pro Bowl C. Pro Bowl WR. Pro Bowl RB. Added a savy old Pro Bowl TE and your promising Greg Olsen. That's a great setup. Carolina was nowhere near as bad going into our 2011 season as our draft placement suggested IMO. It just speaks to the power of a really bad QB (Jimmy Clausen)....that nukes everything and everyone from functioning. Because records were being rewritten starting week 1 of 2011
  16. Coaches like Canales have to be paired w/ a gunslinger or elite QB. It's a story as old as time. Weak boring offenses need the aggressive chunk pass plays to compliment their O. You saw that in Tampa. You see that in his entire coaching tree. this is the frustrating part about the Panthers. All this stuff is day 1 stuff and he waste years figuring out the knowns.
  17. Tepper has done great in Charlotte. He isn’t going anywhere. * Tepper is here to diversify his investments and continue to grow his mass wealth. Being “good” at football is just a fun novelty for him as his wealth grows
  18. This is what really has hurt the team. From 2022 to date, the painfully bad way we went about dumping all our draft resources into the O vs the D. 1st and 2nd round resources all went to the O. 2022 1st on Icky *no 2nd 2023 1st on Bryce 2nd on Bryce 2nd on Mingo 2024 1st on Bryce 2nd and 5th on XL 2nd on a RB 2025 1st on TMac 2nd - Edge defender
  19. Clearly we are being punished by a higher power. I merely say the stars are aligned for that nightmare.
  20. I think we are destined for the other Giants QB - a big Canales connection. - and I can’t stand Russell Wilson so it seems like destiny.
  21. I remember that was a very heavily debated pick at the time it was made. Panthers outsmarting themselves too often.
  22. those Monday morning Tepper meetings going to age a man
  23. Deep throws are there. You insert a different QB and that QB just looks to execute them. We have seen that every year when Bryce gets benched. Datlon will push the D back and crank it 30 or 40+. Issue is Dalton is just washed.
  24. problem w/ the Phins and Jets games....is they have dynamic runners on the ground. Both teams got dudes that can take it to the house from 80 out
