I hope PJ makes the roster just so we can see how these memes develop through the year he's on the bench.

Never like to hear about any injuries, but concussions are particularly scary. Really feel for the guy...

The questions about Darnold always were about processing so that comment is encouraging. Of course I'd rather it be "omg who knew how amazing Darnold would be outside NY!!!"... But the reality is it was never going to be that fast a turnaround, if one happens at all

If Rhule coaches these guys up the way he did last year I think we surprise some teams. We may still be a year away, but the talent is shaping up at many positions.

Teddy averaged 205 yards/game in Minnesota, 249 here. Darnold has averaged 213 yards/game over this career; if he also sees a 45 yard improvement, we're talking 258 yards per game, or 4386 yards for a season. Even if Darnold only improves by, say, 25 yards a game, and gets to 235 yards/game himself (as in, fewer yards than Teddy last year), he's just under 4k yards. There are plenty of reasons to think Darnold could eclipse 4k yards this year in a realistic scenario. The crazy poo is he could pass 4k yards and still not be much of an answer for us at QB. We saw how Teddy looked between the 20s... edit: keep in mind Darnold hasn't played 16 games yet. He had 3k yards in 13 games (basically twice). Obviously he'll need to play every game this year to pass 4k with us in all likelihood, but he hasn't been afraid to throw it around.

I kinda see those opening games as how the offense was hopefully going to go before everyone realized Teddy couldn't throw it down the field for poo. Sam supposedly can... But we do hear a lot about check downs in camp, so I guess we will see. If the offense goes more like how things were vs the Chiefs, well, then your numbers are more likely right. But I do expect 1k yards from Robby this year regardless.

I suspect he'll probably be 2nd in yards and 3rd in TDs, but could be 4th if one of the TEs take off. I think his relative team ranking is less important than what the numbers are, though. I still think this offense's air yardage will primarily go through the WRs. CMC will get his but I don't expect another 1k/1k from him.

agreed. tbh, I think the line is a huge question mark, but there's some reason that there are at least a couple answers on the roster for tackles, which feels ... unusual. we'll see though. I am really not sold on Rhule at all, but I'm trying to stay optimistic. I do think he got the team to outplay their talent last year, and if he does that again this year we will at least be entertaining to watch (but QB......).

Lol that was a great watch, thanks for sharing

We should still have the space to go after OL next year, if we even can. But this management team seems more interested in finding cheaper guys that they think have potential to become solid starters (actually like Robby) than it does investing in top flight talent. Maybe when we are 1 player away on OL or something...

I've got no indication that Rhule or Fitt aren't high on DJ. If he puts up another season like last year but asks for top War money, I doubt we pay him it. If he balls out or if we get him to take top ten but not too 5 money, I think he stays a Panther. This deal clears the way for DJs next contract though.

What the hell does Hill have on Sean Payton lol
