They haven't been building that roster in positive ways for years with Wilson there, that is BS. It has been Wilson and a bunch of nothing good. They just got rid of their best player and it's not close after that. They draft like crap and traded for duds, that is what has killed their team. Wilson was draggi g the corpse around for years. In no reality are they better off, that crew is just one step closer to getting fired while dreaming of their glory days more than 5 years ago.

Not a good year to get rid of a franchise QB. Rogers and wilson off the market. They have a lot of options to downgrade and there are 2 possible options in the draft, Willis and Howell. IDK what they plan to do at that position other then get a Teddy and draft their guy to sit this year or next year. This is a team that Wilson has carried and straight dragged into the playoffs until last year.

Ian Thomas Contract Details (also TE market is HOT)
Waldo replied to Evil Hurney's topic in Carolina Panthers
He isn't worth that much and he will be looked at as a cap causualty next year. More waste on not good enough players...it's what thwy do here now. -
We wasted more than that on Sam this year....priorities and values right now are really bad with this crew.
-
If this crew was capable of that much forethought or realistic planning then they would never have traded for Sam in the first place or burnt the bridges with Teddy and Cam. Expecting them to do right now that they are even more desperate is just not very realistic. The sad part is we all know and want a new staff, Tepper ain't there yet and the hope he sees it for the shitshow everyone with eyes sees is still not a given at the end of this wasted year.
-
We never needed to see a down from Sam to know not to pick up his 5th, there was 3 years of proof saying not to do it. We always had the choice to tag him. Yeah it would have cost more but with a guy who put up 3 years of terrible film in the NFL it was always more of a hope and less of a chance of ever needing it. Then again we wouldn't have sent so much in a trade if they had watched any of that film and not his youtube highlights... The reality is these idiots thought they got a steal by picking up his 5th and now they are choking on it and having good players leave because they wasted 19 million dollars on a guy who isn't even good enough to backup this year. There isn't any other way to spin it other than blaming Brady for this but the video of the decision being made is very damning because no one got up and was like 'WTF are yall looking at? This is a bad idea.'

Yeah we are about to eat 18 of that 19 just to get rid of him. Do it again next year for whatever dipshite we pickup to be hustled as the new savior of Rhule's kingdom.

At least it's not lil' hands. I'll take anything over that at this point.

I kind of want to see what the huddle thinks if this happens..

I think it would be an epic failure but at least I can laugh while it falls apart. I have very little faith in their skills or direction. -
And anyone that thinks he is qualified to have his job is brainless so a much bigger group than just that dummy.

When D Newton catches up to reality you know that it's as clear as it can be.

But we have a cap genius that is paying Reddick to play elsewhere almost as much as his backup to start this year. With this move we can push more dead money back on a deal that was actually worth it for new guys who won't be like Thomas and Anderson or the 2 duds we picked up right away last year. This isn't a good thing. If we made the playoffs last year and had a QB and LT, then we could talk about this maybe being a savy more. It's just getting the cap and roster into a worse and worse place as this crew's time here goes on. I can't believe they just promoted that guy when we could get a spreadsheet that does a better job of planning the cap out.

Not at all on board with a center in the top 10. It's like with OGs, they can be found later in the draft.

Matt Rhule watching tight ends at the combine
Waldo replied to therealmjl's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wonderful content. He should do the QB and Oline drills for sure next. I wish I could listen to that dude on game day and not the garbage announcers we usually get. -
I don't see a way this year will become exciting until Rhule and co are fired and we are discussing the next crew.
-
The guy had to prep for his hand getting measured...at 8.5"... Vick had 8 5" hands but he also had a ton more goibg fir him than Picketts does. No idea if his hands are big enough. He throws ducks and isn't a real good prospect.
-
They should have done that last year. Now they are going to make up for lost picks with a trade back and find 3 starters in this draft after not having one start more than 3 games last season? I would say they need to do it for me to belive it. Expecting Erving or Elf to start again is a very bad start to the process.

That is fair sir. My only hope I have is that McAdoo can stop another Darnold deal this year. If this was a better QB draft class then I would hope he could bring us a legit QB. I just don't see that this year. The one guy with a lot of upside is a long-term QB project and not a win now guy. That was supposed to be McAdoo's positive, finding young QB talent. We are talking to teams for Vets so I'm not sure it will even come into play. If he had a hand in PJ staying then I think even this is suspect. Impressing Rhule means little if we are talking about reality and not the reality of Rhule's pooshow. Being an IT guys sure doesn't help. He was just the best a failing HC could do, not really that impressive to me but certainly a huge deal for Rhule.
-
If McAdoo was that good he wouldn't have been consulting last year instead of coaching and wouldn't have taken this job. Two is absolutely true. I personally gave up on One years ago. His best work came on blown coverages due to the fact no D respects him. His blocking isn't even impressive and that is his strength.
-
No idea. What do the injury history and weight management history look like for these guys? IDC how great a huge guy looks like if those two boxes are not clean. It just ends badly if not.
-
It's crazy and depressing how so many rookies would be day 1 starters here and that's not even playing close to the the level Slater did last year.
