I wish I didn't remember it. It was right before JR was exposed for being a fake POS. Then we got Tepper in 2018 and his best year where he focused on the business side (setting up the groundwork for his soccer team) and took a year to learn the football side...which apparently wasn't anything good or useful because 2019 was the begining of the dark age here in Carolina.

DG recended Norman's tag a week before the draft because Norman was asking for a ginormous contract and he thought he was being smart by avoiding the fight while punishing Normans side for negotiating poorly. They pick 3 CBs forcing it because instead of needing 1 CB they needed 2 starters. Bradbury was good, the other two were not, they were all rookies and that was a messy year even if Bradbury improved. DG and Ron feell out because Norman was his guy. 2016 was rough and the team got built back into a winning record in 2017 but the GM and HC were not working so DG was fired in July and they rehired Hurney. That ended the best stretch of panthers football after that year.

Jay Gruden on Bryce Young: He looks small and plays small
Waldo replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
That and them figuring out what people were saying last year that in all that bad, Bryce was a huge part of why it was so bad vs being purely at the mercy of the other bad. -
Jay Gruden on Bryce Young: He looks small and plays small

Bryce is tofu LOL -
Judging by the last game his confidence is shattered already. The way he looked after the first pick and play he already looked broken. He stuck to the plan and did what they worked on and pick. The longer the game went on the more they went away from all of the offseason plans. He isn't dumb and it's obvious so it must be really brutal for him. If they want to right the ship they need to play a QB that can run DC's offense. There isn't an offense they can change up to that's going to fix this or Young. They tried that already and it lasted 1 play. Better oline play which was very good for week 1, better WR separations where guys were open frequently and better playcalling and yet the same outcome. Bryce was always the biggest problem and he already proved it in 1 week this year. He can't make the throws that NFL QBs have to make to get playing time.

The GM and HC directly report to him so no surprise. I know it's been reported he is hands off the football stuff but he can't be hands off the management for his employees who report to him. We are about to get a glimpse into what's changed really. I'm a little surprised DC didn't already bench Young in the 4th. Game was over and it's not his rookie year. Just felt too much like last year but thems just feelings.

Y’all some SICK people trolling the Panthers IG account
Waldo replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Holy crap that is so much worse than I imagined. -
Just fake an Injury and stash him on IR. Another few games and it's a mercy for everyone. Trade him in the offseason for a last day pick in '26 and call it as good as that is going to get. I still think playing him all season will get people fired. It’s either blatant tanking or massive incompetence.

Real Talk - A New Approach in Being A Fan Currently

Do whatever you want. It's all just entertainment to us and jobs to them. Most of that mess doesn't deserve mercy. Until everyone proves otherwise -

Look at the QBs and if one is good enough then pull that trigger. QB over anything else. There is a line here so the excuse it's not a good situation is BS vs last year. I wouldn't shy away from another QB in the first. It was that trade and the low ceiling of Young that made this last attempt so awful. Find guys in the 2nd and 3rd that can contribute immediately and that would be a great draft. Have a better backup and a project for the PS or #3 spot. No other position can effect the team as much as a QB in this league. I'm not afraid of Dalton playing or a few wins. This team isn't getting out of the top 10. DC needs to show he deserves to make that pick or to even still be here. This team was not well coached on Sunday and the crap he did this preseason was a huge failure.

I don't hate him. I just don't think he is nearly as good as some people think here. He took over the #1 D in yards and point then it went to 3/8 and then 11/10 for 1 game this year. Is he better than a checked out Reich or a Rhule that should never have got the job? Sure but so is a ton of other guys. The one thing we agree on is he isn't a yes man and I do admire that in him. I don't see him as a quality HC hire. I wasn't impressed with his time in Zona and I think he tops out as a solid DC who is a likable guy but way overrated as some kind of savior by people broken by the badness here in Carolina. Edit: OMFG I forgot they fired him already. HAHAHAHAHA. Brutal

I think it starts at firing Rhule after year 2. There is no Wilks and they throw major money at McD but end up Pederson. For GM Berry or Poles (who took this team to the woodshed) I guess. You can go back to the Rhule hire and just say fire Hurney with Rivera and see what Tepper does without that in his ear too. Any way you look at it Wilks isn't high on any list in this game of 'what if'.

More like relief from seeing a competent move they wouldn't make last year.

Best and worst Performances from Saints Game
Waldo replied to Chad_Cota's topic in Carolina Panthers
At least he isn't Watson. We can easily move on. I'm ready for it even if it still needs to play out. If that trade wasn't so bad we could have already. -
I would love to see him eat poop but not at the teams expense. Whatever goes down in this mess is anyone's guess at this point but that guy has shown incredibly poor taste at all levels so it's likely to be entertaining.
