  1. This is also a great way to hire an OC to save your job if you are new to how the NFL works...just lol It's like his mouth is his shovel and every time he opens it he just keeps digging a bigger hole that he will never dig himself out of.
  2. In a way he is right, in a terrible leadership way. He hired a bunch of losers and he pushed Tepper to hire other bad options. Here we are, they all are terrible. Group effort and him taking no responsibility just drags other people that are doing poorly also into the blame. Great, bring them all down with you Fhule. Just lol.
  3. Dave, If your going to run the Panthers like this then please hire someone competent outside of your current mess to show you how to hire better people and to do that job. Then you can be invisible and we will all be happy. Thanks and fug you, W
  4. Probably sure. He obviously knew little about the NFL so that's fun. I get the angle and I'm sure it's part of the bigger mess but everything about Rhule's ego led him to belive he could do here what he did in some blah level school programs. The money just made it an easy mistake to make. Now I wonder if even decent schools would be like 'hard pass'. Yes I understand how easy it is to get a HC position somewhere at that level but it would be hilarious if he had to go back to the bottom to get back to his middling level of coaching before here.
  5. Full circle. Just beautiful. Sam did play better with Gase...
  6. I love Gilmore, he was a bright spot this year. It's just a waste when we have young guys that need to improve with as much playing time as possible. We have wasted so much cap already next year and Reddick is higher up on the must try to keep list.
  7. Smart play is to let Gilly go find a contender and to develop the young guys on their rookie contracts. We are not competing for anything next year outside of the #1 pick. This year would have been a great chance to play a CB at FS but now we can just go with a rookie, we missed that chance to play Burris when healthy this year while making Chinn play out of position to cover his butt.
  8. Yup, after week 3 the fantasy died. Just run left and enjoy the yardage.
  9. So anyone can run on us and they don't need much yardage on offense to still win. Cool. Anyone calling this the #2 D has severely lost context or just didn't put any effort into that analysis.
  10. It would be a good move for them. There is a lot of BS around candidates and players but Hackett looks legit. I just don't know anything about the Vikings anymore. The power dynamics and putting people in positions to succeed is so hard when looking at HCs and GMs, and then you throw in the curve balls from ownership.
  11. It's also important for the context of how bad we are and are doing right now. I get it and thank you for your work. People will buy into the BS this year, I am not but I still like the idea that 2023 can be a lot better...just in case we get to hope again.
  12. He shouldn't even be on our roster in 2022 but Rhule is still here. Hard pass if we were serious but I'm all for it. Let him play us into that #1 pick please.
  13. Certainly more fun than talking about trading for Cousins but also a lot less realistic. Have we even talked to 1 OC candidate that could be described as a good yet?
  14. I already see some people returning to the normal offseason gear and I am still laughing. I am not hoping to get better, I am hoping we don't ruin next year or worse. That is it. Don't trade future draft capital and I am as happy as I am going to get. It's a clear lame-duck year for our HC. How does everything we do affect 2023? That is really all that matters right now.
  15. Use the dookie we already over paid for, this fixes nothing except making another mistake to cover up the last one. Who is a free agent that would want to do a prove it year? That is who we should be talking about. As a free agent? Maybe. As a trade? Fug no. That ship sailed and sank now it's blocking the harbor.
  16. No and I do not think he will find it here. He is the same player he was in school, to change that now would take more than we could offer. If this were a talented and seasoned staff and Sam was in a backup roll not having to start weekly? I think he could improve some but I don't think it would be enough to want him as a starter still. Edit: Adding in the desperation and dysfunction we find building internally from the coaching staff isn't going to help.
  17. MLB should be a position to upgrade without breaking the bank or using a first on this year. This would be a great spot for a prove it type player and deal for us, not on the Oline again after 2 big failures in free agency last year. I hope we can find a FS the same way, an area where we can upgrade but really shouldn't spend huge money or high draft picks on with the other issues we are facing. If not, see you in 2023.
  18. There is an old saying 'two wrongs don't make a right'. This is a great example of that. He can be right about Sam and still be a terrible option.
  19. Watching the Panthers is like watching the Titanic sink while on fire but it happens very slowly.
  20. If Tepper can get Colbert to come here for a few years it could make such a difference. Yeah 2022 is still a throwaway year but 2023 could be a new hope. It would give Colbert a year to analyze everyone and start making moves. It would require limits on contracts and trades this offseason but none of that is unheard-of with a failing staff that reeks of desperation. If Tepper is rolling with this crew and can't get Colbert then we are headed to being the new Lions.
  21. The blueprint was guess work by a pack of guys with very little meaningful NFL experience, the coaching is not a positive, the roster building is a mess with talent but at the wrong spots for what we could have had and they went into win now mode after bad decisions that were just about to become clear in week 4. 2022 is a complete throw away year so we are already talking about 2023 before any hope has a chance for this team. Until then it's the titanic on a slow sink. Enjoy the music and see what survives 2022. It's the year of the Frule's frule: Mr. David Tepper aka the invisible clown 'Sad Moneybags'.
