Going to be fun laughing at the PFF grades this week again. Thankfully Tet looks like the WR we traded away for this trash set up... -

It's hard to imagine the Cards and bloodbath with much in common. They play down and the panthers only look good in those circumstances. Bad match up IMO. The Cards breaking our weird win streak wouldn't be as shocking tho. It's historically 15-6 to the Pantherd so it's a thing. Bad day to bet on norms. Save that for after the Miami game (damn they look bad so far too). -
What is funny is that it's used to compare Young and is basically the floor to make meaningful change. No one wants PJ back either...
-
It's sadly still an overall improvement. PJ walker would be an improvement which is kind of the point of how bad it currently and had been.
-
Upside: it wouldn't take much to be better than Young and help build up or evaluate the other guys on the roster. Downside: they still are not very good so lots of turnovers and not many more wins. How long they go before having this conversation is what I want to see. Was it even ever on the list of allowed actions too. It looks like today, NE and maybe Miami if they are as bad as they appear are the only games they have a chance at winning so it's never going to be about the wins. I never liked Jamis but even he brings more to the table than what we got. Not sure on Howell but it's hard to belive anyone is worse than what they have on the roster currently.

Bryce Young is a problem — what would you do if you were Dan Morgan?
Waldo replied to OldhamA's topic in Carolina Panthers
There is a reason that Peters walked from Tepper's mess during the interview process. Using more info to help? Sure. Drafting by PFF and hiring those people in house? Just setting up for failure again IMO. I'm a little shocked Morgan signed up for that being a football guy. I know his front office skills/history falls on the pro side and not the draft side but the current set up isn't going to work IMO. Tepper is great at finding dead ends vs just learning the sport and doing that vs trying to reinvent the wheel. It was always Tepper's system which these people signed up for so still zero excuses there. -

He is either still sticking to a bad plan or an idiot. With the current situation it could be both. The Evero and the QB situations were self-inflicted and absolutely avoidable. Not using anything learned, or should have been learned, from last year and just doing it again creates a situation where it's looking impossible to avoid splashback in the current trajectory....again. Any hand tying was part of what they signed up for upfront so I give zero excuses for that. -
The Panthers’ Bryce Young Problem is Getting Old

Horn over Moore. Go a head and bench XL to let him work on himself or give the team a reason to trade him at the end of the year. Moore is a coaches pet and nothing more. -

They need both next year. It's looking like PS Hooker and zip at this point. So just zip really -
QBs get overdrafted due to importance and lack of supply. Does he have the physicals and can he be coached? If so then he will be a top pick. If not then he may be a Panther...

Anyone that's willing to run the limited scheme he requires will be a laughing sstock. The NFL isn't school -

Put Young on any team and they would still have to run a limited scheme for him. Put any talent around him and they still have to carry him. IDGAF if we trade him inside the NFCS next year. That is how little I fear ever playing him. -
It's a failing of most first time HCs. I get an OC not being a defensive expert but they do play the other side every week so it always amazes me that poop slides so often. First year? Sure but as time goes on they need to be a HC and have a balanced and good team in the end. They went offense for that reason and the QB issues the team had. They had to go WR again this year because they failed so hard last year at that position in the first. That's on both the HC and GM on that miss IMO. This year they went out and got a bunch of free agents and drafted more on the D. It just doesn't appear they did it well again. Add in keeping Evero and missing out on an expensive free agent, thankfully but it would have lessened the cap gap in spending, it's not like they didn't try. It's more of an issue of competency than cap. Building around Evero after last year is damning for thr GM and HC. That's the biggest issue. They just didn't do any of it well. Now they have some younger talent and I don't think there is a decent coach in that house.

Absolutely bad from coaching down.

Corbett looked terrible and what's his space at LT too. Might as well see what we have in Mays or if we need to finally draft one.
-
Play DC and Mays this week or keep looking like idiots

Not resign Dalton, sign a healthy jag, sit Young all year and the trade him i 26. Easy and stated for moths here -

Or pick it if it's there. I agree but I still expect them to do it the right way even knowing they won't. It's why thr huddle is usually right more than the team...
