Exactly. Drives me nuts when people say we don’t care about the oline. We do, it’s just the hardest position to find talent. Teams don’t just give those guys up.

This team has a lot of promise but the roster is incomplete. The bills hit the Texans 40-0 yesterday. We’re not quite at that level yet.

What I mean is you can’t pull an O lineman off the street and expect him to play immediately. They need to fully understand the playbook, other linemen, etc. Those guys do way more than just pass pro.

Oline is 1. Hard to get 2. Not plug-n-play.

Let’s look at the jets too. I heard a jets fan say this today. The jets passed on Rhule because they insisted on appointing his coordinators (no snow), traded away Darnold, and Robbie, and passed on CMC for a guy who is no longer on the team. If they were a good org, they’d have our team right now.

His prime window closes according to Father Time. A lot of touches doesn’t help, but his skill set is still going to diminish each year. Dont look for him to get another contract here.

I’d love to go OL in the first and second. Or trade down and get 2-3 OL in the second.
