He obviously put his foot on the gas in the first couple games and when Fitt didn’t buy his bluff he hasn’t performed at the same level since. DB is worth the cash. Burns is not.

No argument. Seems that the general public is more upset about it than the players he mentioned.

I can personally see it either way. I could see how someone could read his comments and infer that he’s saying Purdy is JAG. If I were called a game manager and demonstrating consistent success despite the products around me, I really wouldn’t care about anyone’s opinion either way though.

It’s a fair question. I have a long history on this board saying we don’t need a game changer at the QB position to compete. It’s an interesting conversation because while Purdy might not do anything Uber athletic or ultra flashy, I believe those that do (eg. Cam, or more relevant, Josh Allen) tend to have more instances of subpar outcomes as they are always looking to make a splash play or play the part of the hero. Sometimes at the cost of the game. Guys like Purdy might not backflip into the end zone after a long run but rarely do they fumble the ball or throw an INT in crucial moments either. So for me I could see how people could take his comments either way.

This. It’s not just the fact that he called him a game manager. He followed it up with asserting that he doesn’t “change the game.”

Have we scored a TD in the last 2 games? No? Yeah…no thanks.

Worst offense by far.

I would have went with Mike Hunt Stadium or Hugh Janus Field, personally.

Geezus…this doesn’t end well

Sad thing is the writing was on the wall before draft night. The staff knew his count for lining up under center was essentially zero.

He’s been a key piece in that offense. Wouldn’t place him in the tier 1 category but we are working with the bottom of the barrel as he comes to the TE position so really anything would be an upgrade for us. Still can’t believe how promising Thomas’s rookie season was, only for him to be one of our biggest busts in recent years.

I’ll die on the TE hill. Every successful team in the modern NFL has one. You’ll also note that our success took a nose dive when Olsen left Carolina. While others left around the same time it’s still not a coincidence.

Sense of pride.

How do you define a “real fan?” And how does moving the team geographically make you a real fan of a team when they don’t even play in the same city in which they were conceived?

Let’s do the version where we stay at 2, keep a lot of draft capital, and draft CJ MF STROUD as QB1.

Hekker, sure. Eddy has lost my trust. I can recall 2-3 times now we have needed some momentum or the W and he chokes. We always seems to find a way to choke. We need a cleansing from these losers.

He and Luvu are the only players I’d build around, offense included. Everyone else can kick rocks.

It’s a shame because this defense is top 10. If our offense is mediocre then we win this division, easy. Not saying much but nonetheless.

Now our RBs are getting sniped. Another missed opportunity for a 1st down.

I’m here because I’ve read here nearly a decade. Loyalty to a fault. But I won’t be much longer if moderation trend continues like the team plays. Next time stuff goes down I’ll PM you and we will see how that shakes out.
