  1. We all hated Rhule. We all wanted Hurney Gone. Back in the day we all wanted Fox gone. This is the first time we've all been unified in hating someone we can't possibly get rid of.
  2. I'm sorry, this is a thread about the Panther ANIMAL, not the loser franchise based in Charlotte. Understandable mistake, please share facts regarding the big cats.
  3. This thread is for interesting facts about Panthers: A black panther is the melanistic colour variant of the leopard (Panthera pardus) and the jaguar (Panthera onca). Black panthers of both species have excess black pigments, but their typical rosettes are also present. Black Leopard: Black Jaguar: So Black Panthers aren't really a thing, much like the hope of this fanbase. Please, share your own fun facts about "Panthers".
  4. I honestly have no idea about how he handles people. All we hear about is how he's a football savant and the next Kyle Shannahan. No idea if he can manage people like Shannahan does. All I hear from Lions fans is that he's a giant asshole who kicks puppies and poisoned the local water supply, but that's all in jest because they don't want to lose the best coordinator they've had in decades.
  5. The "Leader of men" trope is kind of cringy these days. Reeks of "Back in my day, we did it right" energy. You don't need a leader of men, you just need a leader. You can lead in multiple ways. You can be a Rah Rah hype guy like Cam Newton/Dan Campbell, you can be a stoic even keeled guy who doesn't get flustered like Julius Peppers/Bill Belichick, or you can be a damn savant who just gets how things work, so people listen to what you say because they know you know your poo like Sean McVay/Luke Kuechly. A great leader needs to be strong in their convictions, but be flexible to change when necessary; able to manage people from all walks of life, and understand what needs to happen to get the job done. Being an X's and O's savant is a huge bonus, but those are the Belichicks, Shannahans, and McVays of the NFL and few and far between. Rhule didn't know how to coach grown-ups and tried to lord over them. Same issues Josh McDaniels seems to have wherever he is the HC. They act like gods to be worshiped, not coaches that respect their players as Men. Reich was a pushover, so it lead to disarray throughout both the Colts and Panthers - Colts had players gambling in the facility and missing meetings with no punishment, with the Panthers he was so stubborn with his offense that had become completely outdated in the modern NFL. Rivera was a good leader, but too stubborn and set in his ways which was his downfall here and seems to be the same issue up in Washington. It's hard to hire a guy who hits all the requirements of a great leader, that's why there are so few truly great coaches in the NFL.
  6. Kollmann Goes into detail about all the issues with the offense. Steichen really was the brains to make that offense go.
  7. We can just restructure and extend Moton. There's no need to ship him off. He's been the best player on our line for the better part of a decade now.
  8. This offense looks night and day different with Brown actually running it though. There is so much pre snap motion, RPOs, PA passes, and allowing Bryce out into space the past few games - none of that was showing up earlier in the year. I really think the game just passed Reich by.
  9. AB was an ass way before the playoff hit, people just didn't realize it. But they draft really talented guys, just a ton tend to be headcases.
  10. Can we poach someone from Pitt and get their opinion on the WRs this year? All they do is draft decent to great WRs year in and year out.
  11. He has more Bryce breakdowns available through his patreon: https://www.patreon.com/theqbschool I think he has one for Bryce each week. No idea what is on them though since it's behind a paywall.
  12. It was a division game. Those are always a crapshoot no matter how bad one of the teams actually is.
  13. One interesting thing that JT pointed out was that Bryce was very aware of where Jessie Bates was on numerous pass attempts, baiting him, looking him off, and using his aggressiveness against him. Shows that he learned something from week 1, which is also encouraging.
  14. For those who didn't watch - Play design in general was better than it was earlier in the year, more RPO, PA, and getting Bryce out into space allowing him to improvise and make things happen - you know, the things he was good at in college. Didn't score a ton of points but the bones of the offense looked better than they have earlier in the year.
  15. Watch, don't watch. There's some good, there's some bad, but the ones who have already made up their minds about Bryce won't care either way.
  16. If Evero doesn't get a HC job this cycle, does that mean he is still under contract with us next season and is our default DC until the new HC says otherwise? Never really thought about it before because I've always just wanted a clean slate, but Evero is definitely worth keeping around if he doesn't get a HC job.
  17. Am I the only one that remembers Special teams before Tabor under Rivera with Richard Rogers? Tabor is a great coach. I would love to keep him. I don't give a crap if he licks Tepper's boot, I can't remember the last time I never held my breath any time ST was on the field.
  18. That's what is so damn surprising about him to me. If nothing else he is playing damn solid football, I expected him to be at least 4 years younger, but the dude's been around the league forever and all over the place.
  19. One thing I don't understand is how a Shannahan disciple can't get a run game going. That should be concerning to people and attributes more credit to Stroud than Slowik in terms of Houston's leap forward. Also, the scheme in Houston would not benefit Bryce, much more vertical routes than what I think he is capable of heaving downfield. We'd need a more typical WC style offense for Bryce to succeed. Since he's only been OC for a year I don't know if he's capable of tailoring an offense to the strengths of his QB or if his QB is just the right guy for their system.
  20. We were trying to trade for Watson so the money was tied up to potentially go to him. I'm putting more blame on Tepper for no Reddick than anyone since he wanted so badly to trade for the sexual deviant.
  21. 2015 Luke is a top 5 season and I'd even put it ahead of Norman. Even though he missed 3 games he was still 3rd in DPOTY that season, ahead of Norman was 4th.
  22. This, and the fact they have to pay so much guaranteed money is one of the reasons their GM got canned. Dude moved the Chargers from SD to LA when no one wanted them because the city of SD refused to buckle to his demands to finance a new stadium. He used the opportunity to move to LA to avoid having to pay for a new stadium (among other asshole reasons).
  23. At a glance, The Chargers are one of the most enticing available jobs this offseason, however their owner has a bad reputation in his own right, not that unlike our own, but for different reasons. Spanos is a dick and incredibly, ridiculously cheap. Also the Chargers are currently 52 million or so over the cap next season and will not be able to retain all of their talent. They have the potential to be what the Saints have been the past 3 or so years - good enough to compete for a wildcard spot but significantly hampered by their cap situation. Having said all that it's still a more enticing landing spot than us, especially if we retain Fitterer's dumbass. Is there any potential guy we can poach from detroit's FO? They've been building a damn good team up there the past 3 years.
  24. Troy Hill has been a pleasant midseason pickup. Shades of Rasul Douglas a few years back for us but we stupidly let him walk.
  25. Pts allowed per quarter: 1st Quarter 3.1 (t4th best in the league) 2nd Quarter 9.6(worst in the league) 3rd Quarter 4.4 (14th "best" in the league) 4th Quarter 7.7 (4th worst in the league) Looks like our dudes just get gassed from being on the field for prolong periods of time, most likely due to an inept offense.
