Thats true but it also ignores the fact that the "market" said the number 1 RB wasnt worth going before that given the injury. We only have strong rumor that Dallas would take him. The end result is a guy who will only play half of his rookie contract. So even if he turns out good, we won't be able to monetize that. In other words you are putting yourself in a position where instead of a home run you have to hit a grandslam for the gamble to payoff. Bad odds. All im saying. Bad odds.

Fair, but thats why drafting a rb with a knee injury isnt often done. Its a risk. Even if the %s are only slightly higher, averaged over enough drafts, those decisions begin to work against you. The pick for a bumber of reasons, was a bad % decision.

Agreed. Hes supremely talented but that will still mean we used a 2nd on a guy that is halfway into a rookie deal before we get to use him. And then what? A second contract for a rb is typically a bad move. Its just a low probability move all the way around. May work this time, but its not the smart play generally.

You can build around corner. We actually had a pro bowl guy he was just on a song of a contract. He got mega paid cause corners are prized. Hint, they are prized for a reason.

Holy smokes, glad to see Cage getting to pair up with a great actor like Bale. Cage is hit and miss but when he's dialed in, he's incredible, imo. Here's to Bale being there zones Cage into another great performance. If you haven't seen bad lieutenant: port of call New Orleans directed by Warner Herzog (Cage is the main actor), watch it.
