  1. That's one of those win-win for everyone. Judon was a quiet problem a couple years ago, elite imo. Falicons lost their 3rd round pass rusher(he was starting) this past week and this is a great replacement. I've always been a huge Judson fan, he never got the respect he deserved.
  2. I wish that saying would die, steel sharpens iron, *NOT* iron. Not picking on you, just panthers seem to pick it up this year and Ive been fighting saying for years.
  3. I still had a couple of local strength guys around the queen during the 2020s. I heard nothing but respect for him- early in late out. Hard worker and didn't need any help/baby sitting. Dam shame about those freak injuries. Not since CMC has a rookie enter the league as a pro, that's horn. To finish on a hater note, the CB surtain picked right after him is nearly thought of as the best CB. More panthers luck.......
  4. tepper is never wrong, so I have no clue how this will play out...
  5. I've statements like this more than few times, panthers in the know {{{{{ SHOULD know they need to add a QB or two. Dalton is 38 and gone after this year. If young continues to suck, panthers don't just need starter, but a backup as well. Plus this roster is the weakest league wide and Im normally against carrying 3 QBs. But this weeak-ass roster can make room. Honestly panthers need another Jake delhomme miracle. A smart team would claim one of the cut and continue to make the team better. You can quote me on this- My ultra crazy prediction next year, panthers will sign Drew lock and roll with him in 2025
  6. I say my surprise cut is this years 6th rounder DT Jaden Crumedy. leave it to Morgan to cut a draft pick on the worse roster incoming,,,,, just TJ Smith names keeps coming up. He had a sack in the PS too. Seems to be good with hands... I guess this is good news, but he would make the 3rd backup DLmen panthers found out on the streets. I feel they will claim around 4-6 players and IR players on the roster.
  7. They were 2-15 and those 2 wins took miracles. Super easy to be looking at a 0-17 team. They lost more talent than gained. Didn't have a true 1st or early one since it went to the bears Maybe 8 guys don't need PS snaps- Dbrown, moton, Woods, AT, Clowney, Hunt(maybe), and a couple of others overlooked. Hill is one and the ST crew. Everyone else ESPECIALLY Young and Ickey needs to better themselves via reps. It's the only way to get better is to play.
  8. I do remember some of the CMC and it was down to rams or 49ers. I think 49ers tossed in that future 5th and tipped the scale. Of course the Panthers picked the wrong team to fail. I think rams also got in trouble for hiding Stafford's injury, was it a thumb deal?? It makes no sense to trade for CMC or BB if they thought Stafford was season ending IR'd. I think they believe it was manageable, but Stafford is too tough for his own good. You are right about that rams draft saving their team, best in the league that year even without a 1st. Im not reliable anymore about recent or past history, so I will take your time-line of events over mine. Yep the bottom line is now the new status quo, panthers did it the wrong way.
  9. Well, where did you finish?? If its 7th or worse, the gif is still valid..
  10. I found one of mine past BB takes, I was ALWAYS hating on his weak run defense and I also took heat
  11. Not going to disagree it wasnt Stoopid. Just there's a clear value difference between 3rd overall and 31st overall. In doing that trade, you got to label them as near worse case for your side ie 25th and later. Just about every year team had the cut off point for true 1st rounders at 14th(+/-). Those future 1st are not the same value of this year. The value would vary greatly. I was once one of those about in favor to trade for future picks, but the value of One year exp and 2 off-seasons has made me change. I think its a slight favor to the "Now" pick. Like you said even if the the 1st were of the later favor, its still worth. The one guy that wanted to do the trade got fired this year, made me think of another issue. I've said over and over, if you turn down that offer- YOU must resign BB. Im not his biggest fan, but he was only 25 with 5 years exp. NFL pays up for elite QBs and pass rushers.....even ones with weak run D. You got to see the Panthers side, yes .....(after the factt) with this sorry-ass team its hard. They believe they could be a playoff roster and thought BB would re-sign in the future. If you're a GM and strongly feel you are a playoff team, you simply can not trade a young pass rusher that "could"(lols) break out of his 8 sack slump. Please go back and bump those Burns trade trades, you will see me getting pissed about them passing on that offer. But I sorta see panthers side, even after it blew up in their face.
  12. when they were 3-4(??I'm not sure of this), they were still considered a playoff team form past years. I believe Stafford was healthy during the trade deadline and nearly the week after got injured with the thought he'd miss a few weeks. Im not doing back to check the dates, but feel correct. I think you are confusing the CMC trade with some of this. Im sure I'm off some in my 'details" as well. Plus if you added BB to the rams, who knows what effect it would have on draft picks. You got to believe BB has a big positive difference with teams focused on 99. The picks should/would be be much worse than 36rd and better 1st than the Panthers...
  13. We need to go over the details more than we do. Rams were looking playoff good and offered a 2nd this year and two future 1s. It depends on your value of future picks. The most of the league seems to roughly agree a "now" 4th is worth a next year 3rd. The same for most other rounds ie "now" 6th for a future 5th, the issue is there is no "0" round for the 1st rounders. That 2nd was looking in the 50s as well. Rams had a minor heart attack soon after that in Mcvay and 99 were talking retirement. It's also important to the story, cause that would have increased the value. BB was under cheap control for 2 years or 1.5, this was gone with the giants. Plus they could have used the tag again as well. At the time if added BB to that Rams team, it was looking like 55 overall pick that year, 27th overall next year, and ?? in two years. It's just one of deals in which "timing" was the key. And once again panthers failed. BB had much more value when the rams offered that package. Blame BB as well, cause he coasted this past year and played scared. If he dropped 20 sacks, unlike his normal 8.....Dan could have gotten much more. Still the cheap control was over and BB was asking for around 30million per for his weak-ass 8 sacks and minimal run support. Look Ive not been the happiest with Dan Morgan, but one thing he's made of point of is getting rid of players that he thought were not tough enough. Getting rid of BB is part of that change as well.
  14. Yesterday I had the NFL network on for back ground noise. Then seen one of the halftime shows and dang near like the teams had 20-10, 17-7 scores at the HALF. Then I took a break and watched some live action, even with scrubs in teams moved the ball. Totally different than whatever the Panthers subjected me to watch. Like I forgot how the forward pass works/looks....
  15. That's main problem here, its not 30-53 players its the top 25. Dan needs to add talent at the top. Honestly I can not think of team like the panthers. No cap space and NO TALENT (*besides one Dbrown). Then if Bryce Young fails, thats adds 3 years to set back. Just no fix to this mess. No talent, no cap money, traded a bunch of premium draft picks for player whom had the worst year for a starting QB.
  16. Thompkins was making too many plays, get outta here bub!!
  17. You are nuts. Panthers would have to included a mid rounder AND inches sanders for Dallas 2089 7th. In other words they are stuck with him. Dallas is just looking for a free ride.
  18. Chargers as well and another slate of games is incoming. Im too sensitive .....
  19. It looks like Carolina will be the only team without a TD?? I swear PS and all, but Ive seen bad teams and bad players move the ball a couple series. Panthers need another 4th down conv with a Luton at QB. Sooo bad.
  20. Its hard to keep up with all the movement, jones was traded to jags @LinvilleGorge missed as well. Loads of QBs were on the move this past year.
