I have an indifferent feeling about this. My main issue if he leftd, he's spend the better part of two years getting players that either played in or know his system. Plus a big point of his hire was the shot at getting comp 3rd(what a joke..) if he leaves. Firing him doesn't help either of those, but either are good enough to keep him too. You can make a good case for both sides. He's still very young and maybe finding his problem in fixing this 32nd rank run D. I know he's got to solve it this off-season along with many other issues like points, sacks(lack of), TOs etc. I dare say Mike Turdovac feels are hitting as well. Plus Im sitting here thinking "Is everos sytem rookie friendly", I think "No" currently. The main path to fixing this defense is the draft, so that's a huge issue currently. If if ifififi ifif if they somewhat hit on a games wrecking edge form the draft, I feel it affect the whole team like adding a great QB. If they resign Michael Jackson(they should within $$$ reasons). He would have 2 CBs, CB depth, Dbrown, Arob, Jewell, DJ Wom, Clowny. That's decent enough if they added the NT, young stud edge, safety, MLB. Finding CB is one of the hardest spots to fill, I think its petty well stocked and give those guys a pass rush...... Defense would be mid-pack within a couple weeks.

I had a firm 2 wins and if anything 1 win was my next vote.- Wrong. reason being next statement; Just don't have any talent, young, offense, defense, etc.- Id say right even with the 4 wins I just didn't believe in BY and still don't even with him improving from 42nd level play to 20th.- don't know how to call, I'd say 60 wrong 40 right. I thought Miles aka inches sanders would bounce back somewhat form the ultra poor showing- dead wrong. I believe this is my biggest FA miss of all-time Panthers wise. I don't judge rookies until 2nd full off-season. *But I didn't much like the class, only pick I agreed on was Sanders. I did go back and have a re-draft before seasons start, Dan did much better than I thought with the big whiff of brooks whom he traded up for. Still I thought they look better than past years and he found 2-4 UDFAs to fill holes. I'd want to see the same aggression for UDFAs this next class as well. My predictions have taken a drive nearly each year, like the Panthers I need to improve. I go for long odd stuff its my weakness. Still massive talent influx is needed. Besides OL(well center), Chubba, Dbrown, horn the whole roster needs help. Even ST needs a total overhaul, no kicker, punter, or LS is under contract for 2025. A few of the core STer are FAs too ie Franklin, franks, and Johnson. There's no reason to have this poor roster along with barely any cap space.

Are you using the BY scale for HC Dave?? I don't know if I see or feel the same, 30 years?? the best?? Like you said fox came here in with a 1-15 team and in two years they were in the SB. If Dave can match that, Ill agree with you.. My take, he's similar to BY, better than I thought- growing, learning, etc. I honestly had the expectations at 1 or 2 wins. 4 wins and BY is passing around 200 with 1TD and no INTs in his good games. Both are young and I still don't believe, but next season will show if the team building a new or just another GM, HC, QB reset....

its still early, but it looks like 12 DL players will be in the top 25 ranks. Even 10 in the top 20.

I didn't care about the win either given no playoff. the "win at all cost" crew view is this- it doesn't matter between pick #3 or #27....... Yes they suck at drafting, I still want the best pick EACH round, its more value- plain and simple. This is the big picture thinking and long term. More than anything this team needs youth talent. Better odds if each pick is closer to the beginning of each round.

fitz is right about BY. we view ranking 20th as a great/hofer, but it is mainly due to his first 17 or so games. Those games broke me too. Far as the future, Id support ward and dump BY for draft cap. If not, then use a mid-rounder on a "sleeper" rookie and bring in a legit vet comp. By any means trade, wavier, FA.

My honest take is diontae johnson was not the only player who threaten Dave if he kept BY at QB. Again this current BY is NOT the BY of last year and first two weeks, just a totally different player. I feel the part where he needs credit is he didn't commit to BY even when BY was ballin/well. He wanted BY to take over and claim the QB without him answering the question. Plus the game planning and play calling has been on point this last few weeks. Dave is a rookie at this too. Plus much like BY, I had nearly 0.0 faith in either, but that number is around 20 and I longer feel tortured watching. That's huge form where each was.

No one could see this roller coaster ride. I mean he's had 17 bad/awful games and 7 good/great ones. At any point you could be on the either side during. It's wrong to judge rookies, but he was the worst one in History that played a near full season. BY did win the head2head against CJ...... The last 6 or 3 games, BY has been the better QB. *But CJ is still fields ahead of BY. He took a 2-15 team to the playoffs the next year and he was the main/all of the reason. He was in the MVP race for most of the season and at mid point was the leader. 4 more leftd for this battle to clear up more.

He was throw for throw against MVP/Superbowl MVP and KCs D, he had lead another game winning drive that will not go down in the stats as one. He's played like I never thought he could reach the last 3 weeks. Even going back 6, each of those week both QBs were struggling just that time of year(weather). He keeps getting better, which was my #1 goal of the season. He's also not had Sanders, AT, Coker for a few games during this morphosis. Im always honestly, but the current group of panthers WRs and TEs are not enough. I never thought Id be saying this in his defense- " BY deserves more and better weapons ". They need to either spend a 1st/2nd or trade or drop the Higgins bag(I hate this) for him. Need a legit top pass catching weapon, get on it dan... That point guard meme that everyone including me were laughing about......... he has looked that part in the last couple games. If he keeps up the play, he deserves some comeback player of the year votes. Hes putting the team in position to win.

I begged you to be wrong about panthers drafting BY and the first 18(minus GB) games he played it was a fuging horror show. I didn't think he was simple capable of being a NFL QB 1-3, even doubted PS, cause I would have current FA PJ walker over him. Right meow, I feel its still undecided, but he at least playing like a legit NFL QB. Defenses are ahead currently in the NFL and cold/bad weather is here, ALLL QB play is down/bad *but BY is playing well. Invest is sunk and all, but Id be lying if I didn't still feel like trading him. My nightmare is that BY levels off and remains a 23rd rank type of QB. You know the type it just get you 6 or 7 wins while teasing you for the playoffs. I hope Panthers at least add one big time TE or WR to the group.

I don't have the energy to defend Purdy, his numbers for that last couple years should have gotten MVP votes. He's legit and top 10 EASY.

UNC wants his confirmation, Bill keeps adding terms.....AND UNC keeps saying "Ok". Still regardless about what others have said, Hes not the HC currently.
