I think he was asked directly about the play. Was he not?
-
LB was definitely neglected. I think we just had too many holes to fill. Maybe they still have something up their sleeve but I doubt it.
-
The only thing confusing about the safety group to me is redundancy. Moehrig, Richardson, and Ransom all look to be good and potentially good box safeties. We never really got that ball hawking FS we needed IMO. It might still work out, but whoever is playing FS would be playing a position that doesn't fully play to their strengths IMO.

We have to pay a backup QB something? Dalton is making 8 million over 2 years. Honestly that's pretty cheap. Argument aside of how good he is, his contract seems fine. Plenty of blame to go around for our cap getting full, but the backup QB on a 2 year 8 million dollar deal seems like quite the reach.

You just don't typically touch QBs in this stage of practice. A broken hand/finger from his throwing arm can really jeopardize a season.

At least Denver (which seems to be a well ran team) let him go originally.

Guys that will either make or break our Young Quarterback!!

Plus he can still have a great season with a bad defense. It may not show up as wins but he should get plenty of drives to show how far along he has come in his development even with a bad defense. -
Grizzlies clearly have money on the Kings beating us.

No I get it. I think I was just saying top 50 isn’t really anything to hang your hat on. He is a ginger too. Good point. I’m not here to die on an Andy Dalton hill.
-
Ok the first paragraph made me laugh. You think he is washed and I understand it. I just don’t think it’s outlandish for someone to think he is in the top 50 in the league. It’s not really a compliment but just means he is an average backup. I’d put him in the Joe Flacco category personally. Old starter with tons of experience that can come in and run your offense if needed, but not someone you want playing more than 3 games or so.
-
That means he is an average backup depending on the use of the word “easily”. All 32 starters are clearly better, but are more than 18 backup QBs better? It’s not that much of a stretch to say that IMO.

Good to see Kon getting comfortable
-
I think the whole point is we don’t really know. Overreacting when he looks bad and dismissing when he looks good is simply pushing an agenda to be right though. Let’s just see how he looks this year and not look too much into these summer league games.
-
Looks like he had some decent assists and his shot wasn’t falling. We all know he can shoot so that’s not really an issue.

Rankings for the NFL south teams in cornerbacks!!

I feel like Chau was getting comfortable towards the end of last year and should be our NB going forward. If these young pass rushers can get their footing, our pass defense could be decent. I’d still like a coverage FS like Blackmon before the season starts. -
lol this writer was just bored and thought they are the same height so let’s trade them.

I think Coker tweaked a minor injury if I remember correctly. Maybe he still isn't 100% yet?

Barnwell - Ranking WR, TE, RB Groups in NFL

I was just referring to how we always do poorly when expectations are high and in our better years (yes it's been a while) we did best under the radar. -

This would mean we are flying under the radar which is what we want right? -
Banking on a 2nd round rookie seems bold, but I guess this season will be about development.
-
I was concerned it could become a thing if we drafted him. If the grades are even remotely close you draft the player who wants to play for your franchise. Maybe this will be nothing and all blow over, but it's nice not to have to worry about it...
-
ESPN’s recent grades has Charlotte with a B. I haven’t paid attention to any others really.
-
He does. The guy we drafted last year was all talent. We took a low floor high ceiling player last year and now we took a higher floor lower ceiling player.
-
He was picked before us so it doesn’t matter. If Ace turns into that guy then we will be embarrassed again.
