    I think the problem is we went very unconventional with Young due to his size (probably shouldn’t do that with the top pick), then we hired a very conventional HC/play caller to make it work.

    Calling the same couple plays over and over with one second on the play clock isn’t helping any rookie develop. Look at Reich his his rookie QB vs the other HCs and their rookie QB. They run a much more open play book.

    You hit a QB from behind when they are looking to pass can easily cause fumbles. Remember Cam in the Super Bowl. Protect your QB and the fumbles will stop. Plus these QBs aren’t getting blasted to cause these fumbles. Refs will throw a flag all day if teams do that.

    Stroud has 3, Lamar 6, Tua 5, Cousins 4. Young is getting pressured and hit way more than these guys. You were claiming his fumbling was due to his size isn’t adding up. We are lucky he hasn’t thrown more picks under this constant pressure. It’s probably due to the dull, conservative play calling.

    Apparently it’s not ok to find any positives in our offense and Young. There is plenty to not like, but it’s good to look at the full picture as well. The good with the bad.

    Was that the same series where Thomas and Chark dropped TDs? If so then that play should have never happened. If we are playing whataboutisms of course. We had a lot of pass catchers just drop to the ground after they made their catches too. This west coast offense needs YAC to thrive.

    Wilks vs Rhule was a huge difference with the exact same roster and no offseason to install Wilks’ defense or offense. Coaching matters most IMO as long as it’s not an extreme difference in talent. Let Andy Reid coach our Cam, Luke team and we would have been in the playoffs every year.

    It doesn’t look so bad seeing it this way. Stalled out a couple times in the red zone and of course the fumble was awful.

    Burns should be traded ASAP. His play is getting worse and his value might be dropping. I'm good with YGM, Houston, DJ, Barno, and Haynes when he returns. Get that first round pick plus some and stop worrying about missing on that Ram trade opportunity.

    I didn't even catch that. Imagine if he turns out to be a solid player after how annoyed we all were about that pick.

    I would say our offensive play calling being so terrible plus Stroud setting the league on fire has made things 10x worse for Young from a fan's standpoint. I find myself watching Stroud and shaking my head at what could have been, but does Reich run this same Mickey Mouse offense for Stroud and does he look just as bad as Young if he does.

    If he has our offense playing well enough to warrant him getting a HC job I think most of us would be happy. I would think that McCown or Staley could get bumped to OC or we could seek outside help (maybe someone else from the McVay tree) in that case.
