  1. He got benched for Finley then worked he way back as a starter. It’s one of the reasons he transferred. He was a legacy QB who was benched for a backup transfer QB.
  2. He sucked at Auburn but Oregon’s offense makes him look a lot better.
  3. I don’t see how you know who they wanted. Also I hope they used a lot more than a Pro Day to make their decision. Sam Darnold turned a lot of heads in his Pro Day in the rain.
  4. Man between Auburn and Carolina I’m not going to see many offensive TDs this year…
  5. I felt the exact same. In college Young excelled under pressure and Stroud didn’t outside of the UGA game. Young was ranked QB1 by most draft analysts. It’s why I was ok with Young as well but I always felt Stroud was the better QB for the NFL. Honestly I still think Young will be ok. The sooner we get Brown calling plays or at least more of his input the better we will be.
  6. That’s not entirely true. Young was widely considered the top QB aside from a couple analysts. People thought we were getting Stroud because his style fit Reich’s previous QB styles in the tall accurate pocket passers. There were several people that wanted us to smokescreen Young so the Texans would trade up for him because they were apparently higher on him as well.
  7. I get the whole Tepper made the pick narrative, but let’s not pretend like it was some insane reach and Young wasn’t ranked at the top QB on most draft boards. Our staff should be able to produce with Young, Stroud, or AR IMO.
  8. Snyder and Haslem. Not the best of company to be in….
  9. He adjusted the score accordingly.
  10. That would be truly incredible and something most people didn't see coming. That's not a reason to draft a player one similarly ranked at a position you already have filled with a great player.
  11. Different staffs have different offenses and different schemes in which they need different sets of players to fit into these schemes. I understand what you are saying, but you could get stuck playing that game of firing year 1 coaches every year. If Bryce proves to be a decent QB that could help the next group, but if he does then we probably won't fire this group so soon. Bengals sucked in year one of Taylor, Sean Peyton is 0-2 as well. I know we finished strong last year, but it was easy to tell we were just running over teams that couldn't stop the run and failed to compete with any other teams. The Bengals game shows you how bad we really were.
  12. I feel like 70% of the Huddle (myself included) preferred Stroud. In fact we did a poll and he was the favorite. I still think Young can be ok but Stroud was a Huddle fav for sure.
  13. That's my favorite GIF too! All I have really done is mock the people crying conspiracy theories about the injury. I think Young still has a shot to have a good career. It's waaaaaay to early, but Fields might be running (pun intended) out of time.
  14. I agree. Reich's job here is married to Young. As soon as we made that trade to move up his career was in the hands of whoever we drafted.
  15. As a Fields fanboy or fanboi myself I am offended by this comment. I also admit Fields is sucking this year.
  16. What if I told you people can dislike some moves an owner makes, but be ok with other ones? I don't think it's an all or nothing sort of thing... Granted Tepper has had way more misses.
  17. You are not alone. I know a lot of the more reasonable people are just ignoring this kind of nonsense.
  18. Not call 10 WR screens to our least athletic WR. Not run Sanders directly up the middle over and over again to the strength of their defense with 2 backup OGs playing. Not having several WRs all clumped together on the same route within 3-5 yards of each other. We don't have the players to be an elite offense, but we should at least run a competent one. TMJ was a 2nd rounder, Mingo was pick 39, Chark has the tools to stretch a defense and has caught plenty of TDs, Thielen is a solid possession WR, Hurst is average at best, and Sanders is a decent back. A good OC will find a way to generate some sort of offense. For example use Shenault on the screens to try to get the ball in his hands several times in a game as he is our most explosive weapon. Test the defense deep with Chark on several plays (we did it once and drew PI) to open up the running lanes.
  19. It's not a good look when player like White thinks a WR is being used wrong. I mean he definitely has a front row seat and no reason to make that comment.
  20. At least you would be able to wear your jersey if Andy plays.
  21. Honestly I just want him playing back at home again the Vikings shitty secondary. I'll be happy if that happens. So hopefully he just misses this one game.
  22. I was always most excited about Brown and Evero. You are right Brown is being wasted right now.
