I think Bryce is going to get some decent protection and throw his TD to a TE. Hurst maybe if he gets pulled the Tremble/Thomas. Campen is going to kill someone if that OL struggles again....

Betting on preseason games is dangerous.

I like the combo of Horn and DJax on the outside honestly. Djax looked like he was back at 100% during Saturday's game. If both players can hold up I think we could have a decent secondary.

Time for a topic change. What does everyone think about Ron Rivera??

Name 3 things you are looking for against the giants

Oh I figured it was sarcasm. I'm sure I drank a Zima or something similar before. Probably in college after a few... -
Love the overreactions! Keep up the good work!

Yeah Smith even mentioned it during the game. Stated Shenault needs to know where that first down marker is and not take his route that deep. -
I know the Huddle is mad at him, but I kind of like him as a HC.

How would you feel if we cut Chuba and signed Hunt?

He would make for a nice vet with Super Bowl success to add to our roster. Sanders and Fournette would be a nice 1-2 punch! -

He wouldn’t be a bad option at all. -
I stand corrected on the Bledsoe era. I thought he was their coach when he lost to Favre, but that was Parcells. You could definitely make the argument that Brady made Bill B look a lot better than he is, especially after Brady won again with the Bucs.
-
The good coaches really shine when they land an elite QB. Look at the Bengals with Burrow, Bills with Allen, and Chiefs with Mahomes. Bill B created a dynasty when he landed Brady (he also had his team playing well with Bledsoe before that). Rivera couldn’t even get back to back winning seasons with Cam, TD, Luke, and Olson. He is looking more like whoever is coaching LAC with Herbert. That’s the big difference to me. Rivera is good at stabilizing bad teams and getting them to respectable/average but he isn’t a coach anyone should really seek out and get excited about. I would be surprised if he lands another HC job once Washington is done with him. DC absolutely, HC I wouldn’t bet on it unless a team is really struggling.

All these coaches have had success even when you remove one key player. I’m simply removing Cam from Ron’s coaching career. It just proves that Ron didn’t make Cam as much as Cam made Ron look better than he was in my opinion. Frank isn’t an elite coach. He is the right coach to develop a young QB like Young. He is more of the right coach at the right time (or Reich coach if you want a good dad joke). What excites me about Reich is the staff he has surrounded himself with this year. Caldwell, Capers, Brown, Evero, McCown, Campen etc are a great combination of old and new coaches.

What is Ron's record without Cam? How is he doing in Washington? Cam made Ron look better than he was IMO because he had to carry the team. Give Cam a solid offensive minded coach and who knows how great he could have been. Look IMO Ron is a good high character man who knows defense, but unfortunately he is just an average HC in today's NFL. Give him an elite OC and yeah he could look good, but that OC would just plucked away for a HC job.

We need TMJ. Chark has a bad injury history and a slim chance of staying healthy all year. The drop after TMJ doesn't look good with Shi Smith and company.
-
Frank worked with Wentz went he was in the conversation for MVP before he got injured. He also had Foles playing great when they won the Super Bowl. Ron leaned on Cam to bail him out of bad play calling and bad situations. I saw a lot of run, run, long developing pass plays where Cam can try to buy some time with his legs. Put Cam in a system Daboll created for Allen or Steichen has created for Hurts and he would have had a more consistent, longer career IMO.
-
Right? He was 4/6 with one of his incompletions being on Shenault for running too deep on his route. All of this was having just over 2 seconds to throw the ball on average in his first preseason game of his career.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/38193519/source-rb-dalvin-cook-sign-1-year-deal-jets?platform=amp Dalvin Cook to the Jets. That offense could be scary…

I think he is the same person as @CPantherKing. Both have similar terrible takes…

I assumed he meant the whole offense not just Young. Corral didn't really throw it deep very often.

A Reminder That It's Not 2022. It's A Whole New Season and League.

I could see a 8-9 maybe 9-8 season. As long as we are trending in the right direction with Young developing I will be happy. -

Higgins is arguably a WR1 as well. It's extremely hard to get that kind of talent in the WR room. The Bengals hit with Burrow, hit with Higgins, hit with Chase and then built their OL to solidify that offense. The Bengals have the best WR group by a good margin, but part of it was draft luck. Let's hope that Mingo can develop into an AJ Brown type of WR1 for Bryce.
