We aren’t against trading down. We made that clear from the very beginning. The cost to move up to 3 was very similar to move up to 1. We probably like Young, AR, and Stroud which is why we were comfortable at 3. If we stay at 1 is pretty much Young. If a team makes us a dumb offer from 2 or 3 then we would probably take AR/Stroud plus the extra capital. It’s not as crazy as it sounds. We like 3 guys but have a preference. Now we control the draft.

Is Latu in this draft? I wonder if we can get him in the later rounds…

Agreed but we also shouldn’t ignore any prospect that has a similar playing style as Cam. Just grade them all on an equal playing field and if the one who reminds fans of Cam makes the most sense then draft him. I’m not saying this is the case this year.

I tend to agree. Ryans will either pick Stroud or just build up his roster this year with his picks. Do they already have 2 firsts next year because of the Watson trade? If so they could have 3 firsts next year if they do what you are saying. The only thing is the top pick might not be for sale next year.

JSN visiting would make sense too. Stroud with his WR in the first would be awesome, but unlikely it happens.

Mayfield and Manziel both have issues mentally being a NFL QB. Manziel was a disaster from the beginning but neither of them were limited physically. Young’s strength appears to be his mental processing and preparation. He is actually a good athlete as well (top dual threat QB out of high school). He definitely has a chance to be special.

As long as Young works out I’m ok with it. Puts Stroud in the loaded AFC too. He can have fun with Mahomes and Burrow.

Come on now. Stroud is still a great prospect. He is rated in the 90s right behind Young. If Houston passes on him someone will trade with Arz to get him at 3. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ind does it to prevent themselves from getting jumped.
