  1. IF Chicago wants one of these QBs in this draft? I have seen nothing that indicates that so it's really just a bunch of made up clickbait. In fact the GM has said pretty much the opposite.... https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35420112/bears-gm-quiets-draft-debate-backs-justin-fields-no-1-qb I mean IF the Jags fall in love with a QB in this draft then all that made up nonsense can be applied to Trevor Lawrence. The point is they aren't interested in drafting one to replace their young promising existing one just like the Bears.
  2. The answer to this question is an easy yes. Most GMs without a QB would do this trade in a minute. The problem is the Bears aren't trading him and if they are it's for more than pick 9 (which is why the answer to this topic is an easy yes). Would you trade the number 9 pick for a young QB who has already flashed potential in one of the worst environments for a QB to develop? "Yes" is the answer.
  3. Don’t want Carr here, but that sounds like Stafford at Detroit…
  4. Oh I agree, but will it be a career backup like Case Keenum or someone they expect to play a portion of the year like Brissett. Even if we get the top pick we would need a vet backup.
  5. Yeah if we are trading for the top pick, it helps to do it early. That way you can build your team accordingly.
  6. Nah if we hire DeFilippo we are signing Glass remember?
  7. I’m hoping Rodgers goes there to play with Adams or Jimmy G goes there to play under McDaniels again.
  8. That’s fair and I agreed Stroud was a better thrower of a football in college. I just think you are underrating Fields throwing in college as well. I mean look at his 2019 stats over 3200 passing yards 67% 41 TDs and 3 INT all just passing stats. He throws a beautiful deep ball. It’s hard to look as good on the Bears with a bad OL and no weapons, so he has to use his legs more.
  9. They both were on loaded teams. Stroud is probably more developed as a passer, but damn Fields threw for 6 TDs against Clemson while injured. You should watch that Clemson OSU gane against. He was elite…
  10. If Purdy or Lance were healthy they could have won the Super Bowl. They were down to their 3rd string in the NFC championship game.
  11. Be careful what you wish for. The Saints have a good OL, solid defense, and some playmakers in Kamara and Olave. Give them a good QB plus the draft pick they got back for Payton they could be dangerous in the NFC...
  12. Perfect. Sit back and play it smart. If he wants to come here for relatively cheap then we can possibly work out something.
  13. Tepper isn't hiring this staff, Reich is. Also Wilks didn't want to coach here as an assistant as he took a job already with the Niners. Move on and keep up fool!
  14. How did Stroud look MUCH better at OSU? Fields took out Lawrence's Clemson Tigers in the playoffs and made it to the championship game. He also never lost to Michigan.
  15. I guess the question is how much longer is he wanting to play. He turns 32 in March. If he wants to play until he is 34/35 then telling upfront our play is to draft a project QB to learn behind him for a few years may work.
  16. With their new OC there is only one choice....
  17. He did so great against the Chiefs that second half.... Seriously though why are they picking a defensive minded coach to help Kyler Murray??
  18. I'm loving it. Pumping his best resource (his money) into this franchise and letting the football people do their job (hopefully). What more can we ask for?
  19. It's about as clear as it gets this time of year. They are "sticking with Fields" and "not planning on using the pick on a QB." I mean what else can he say?
  20. Nah, some Huddlers already told me it’s a weak QB class…
