Oh poo, never like injuries. He seems to get injured a lot, not a good combo with CMC…
-
He can win the Super Bowl next year. This year his team needs to suck.
-
Just wait for playoff Jimmy.

The worse the Niners do the better our picks are.

Report: Teams are doing homework on Jim Harbaugh
ForJimmy replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
8-8 with the team all knowing it was his last season. There were talks all through that season of tension with GM and ownership and how he would be gone next year. With that he still finished 8-8… They went 5-11 the following year without him. -
Yeah he isn’t quite there yet as a passer, but has shown enough progress for fans to be excited.

Catcrave 4 QBs if panthers drop out of top 10
ForJimmy replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Corral is a 3rd round IRed project QB from a previous staff. How is that “better?” -
That’s all fair. I just think people wanting to roll with him next year if he “flashes” during these next few games are destined to repeat history.
-
That doesn’t count for a comeback win. They scored 28 points with 7 of those coming from a punt block TD. So 21 from the offense while Sam had 2 turnovers in a pick and fumble to his 1 TD. He definitely contributed to that loss…

I like Auburn (who was awful this year) but it’s the most recent school I went to. My point is it’s a dumb argument to look strictly at the schools not the prospects. Joe Burrow was a projected 3rd or later round pick before his last year on a roster loaded with NFL talent. Maye is young with plenty of talent. People are hating on him because of his school (and yes fans of the school are overhyping him as well).
-
So he did it once and we lost? PJ Walker did that this year against the Falcons.
-
Who was the last LSU before Burrow? Oregon before Herbert? Texas Tech before Mahomes?

QB Will Levis declaring for the NFL draft
ForJimmy replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah we are in need of a TE. Tremble never developed into a legit 1 and I have no idea why they extended Thomas. -
Downs is a legit weapon from what I’ve seen, but he will be gone next year. Some have him as a late first in this upcoming draft. Outside of that yeah I don’t think he has much…

QB Will Levis declaring for the NFL draft
ForJimmy replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’d be interested to see him behind our solid OL with a good OC. I also wouldn’t mind that Kentucky RB with one of our later picks. -
Allen was drafted before him so it doesn’t matter. I’m sure Rhule would have loved Burrow, Hurney wanted Herbert. He claims he wanted to trade up for a project QB like Allen and was mad Rosen wasn’t ready. Allen’s first year was pretty bad and that’s with a great staff and OC. Imagine him in Arizona with McCoy who was fired midseason.
-
Because Allen was “ready?” Most rookies aren’t ready year 1. He had Bradford as the vet backup.
-
From what I read it states he “wanted to trade up for Josh Allen, not Rosen.” That doesn’t mean he didn’t want Rosen at all, just that he preferred Allen. He did state the GM drafted Rosen, but that doesn’t mean he was against it. He also benched Rosen for Bradford who looked just as bad in his team’s offense, and benched Bradford for Glennon who also looked bad. He also fired his OC McCoy and the offense still looked bad (with Fitzgerald, Kirk, and David Johnson). When I say bad I mean one of the top 3 worst offenses in the NFL since 1986 bad… https://www.theringer.com/platform/amp/nfl/2018/12/31/18162453/arizona-cardinals-fire-steve-wilks-josh-rosen The bad thing is he was just recently the DC for Missouri whose defense looked better this year without him…
-
And that wasn’t Wilk’s choice after they missed on Allen? They needed a QB. The next one drafted was Lamar at 32. I don’t really think he gets a pass on that either.
-
I’m sure he was, but not letting Wilks in his first year trade away God knows what to move up and select a project QB in the top 10 of the draft was the absolute right call.
-
I don’t think it even matters. You don’t let a rookie HC trade away the farm for a risky player like Allen. It was the right move. If he is setting there at 10 and Wilks is adamant he is the right QB then sure, he could have a bit of a “told you so” moment now.
-
Probably, but being mad that a GM wouldn’t let him trade away future first round picks as a rookie HC for a player with Allen’s questionable college resume is dumb. Keim could have been a shitty GM, but that’s just being responsible. Also apparently McAdoo liked Allen and Mahomes. It would be reassuring to hear it from someone else like his OC or another staff member. It’s easy to say I wanted this QB (who has become a NFL star) after the fact with no data to back it up.
-
That’s a little different. Trading up for a player that risky without a decent offensive staff to develop him could have been franchise crippling… Trading away future firsts being off the table for a first year coach is actually smart and responsible.
-
Why does it matter if he wanted Allen over Rosen? Allen was selected before the Cardinals at 7 and the Cardinals picked Rosen at 10. Who did Wilks want at 10 over Rosen? Our GM wanted Herbert, but he was picked before us so it doesn’t matter…
-
That’s pretty different. Hackett’s team had Super Bowl run expectations and their window is now (Russ isn’t getting any younger). They are probably going to let Russ give some input into the next coach, because they are stuck with him for better or worse. Plus there isn’t a pattern for not giving white, offensive minded coaches a chance at HC. Just look at Arizona and McDaniels getting another chance in Vegas. If anything it’s the opposite. I don’t want Wilks as our HC because I feel like it just brings us back to Rivera in terms of style and being a very boring, conservative HC. However, I do think there is some substance as a whole to that lawsuit (especially if that Miami poo is true).
