  1. I'm just glad we can actually have a QB argument that's not PJ vs Sam!
  2. What in the hell is going on?? Fans of winning franchises know more about football?? I assure you those NE fans aren't that smart.... Not to mention you get the bandwagon fans to lower the IQ overall....
  3. That historically bad franchise was taken to the playoffs and delivered their first payoff win in forever the year before last by??? Just be happy we went from Sam Darnold and PJ Walker to Baker Mayfield and Matt Corral. It's a much better QB room now with some nice potential!
  4. Love Corral, but we took him in the 3rd so how is he a true first rounder? Also why would we add to a rookie contract? They are pretty much set on a scale... But seriously I was and am thrilled we drafted him. If he turns out to be our next franchise QB then that will be awesome!
  5. as @CRA stated the QB/OL helps a ton. Leftwitch has Brady the GOAT with a solid OL and Moore has one of the best OLs with Dak. I'm not 100% sure either is as good as advertised.
  6. Oh yeah you definitely right. You have to have a capable QB and OL in order to have any success. A good OC can hide some deficiencies, but none that big. They also need a HC that won't handcuff them and their game plan. I think we still would have sucked with Reid, but not on the same level as we did. He would have kept Cam as the guy throughout the season and actually game plan around our weaknesses with a fast paced offense and quick read passes/option reads. Probably still bottom of the league, but not as bad as the garbage with trotted on the field last year.
  7. If Corral is great (and I hope he is), sitting for a while won’t hurt him. See Rodgers, Mahomes, Brady etc. When he is ready his time will come.
  8. The good OCs can make a big difference too. Look at Kyle Shanahan with the Falcons. When he left the offense slowly dropped year after year. Andy Reid (calls his offense) brought Vick back to like and had Alex Smith in the playoffs. You are right though a great QB can make an OC look a lot better like Burrow and Herbert have done for their teams I just think they are hard to come by.
  9. Even if he is slightly below average at OC, it will be a welcomed upgrade!
  10. Teams seem to be preferring the new younger stat driven coaches/assistant coaches when it comes to offense (especially if they ever were within 3 feet of Sean McVay). He seems like a strong personality to take on as an assistant and these younger coaches probably want their own guys. His drop off as a head coach doesn’t help his case either…
  11. I’ve heard this a couple times and am curious. In what way in Baker more physically talented than Corral? His arm might be stronger, but outside if that I don’t see him outclassing Corral in athletic ability. I know Baker did this… https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/baker-mayfields-overthrown-hail-mary-is-the-longest-pass-ever-recorded-in-an-nfl-game/amp/
  12. That would be awesome! He is younger and would be much cheaper. If he turns out better then we will be set for the next year.
  13. The thing is he actually already has cut down his INTs. 2019 year was went he went in overconfident had a coaching change form Jackson for Kitchen midseason and threw 21 INTs which is waaaay to many, I get it. The following year (his last healthy year) he dropped it to 8 INTs with 26 TDs. He shouldn't have played after week 2 last year, but I get that he did. Even with a bad shoulder and injured planting foot he threw 13 INTs which was one less than his solid rookie season and way less than 2019. Even with a shitty injured 2021 season he cut down his INTs.
  14. It was like a 4th and a 7th for Tannehill. He also wasn't good at Miami. Tennessee helped him make a decent leap. Or are you talking about contract? I think the Titans overpaid for Tannehill, but that might be the price for an average QB anymore...
  15. Exactly. Baker demanded the trade to happen and wasn't going to back down from it. The Browns believed they had a once in a generation chance to acquire a top 5 young franchise QB so they went all in on him. I personally think the Browns are idiots because of Watson's off the field issues but that's their problem now.
  16. I wonder what the cost would have been to secure Baker after his 2020 season. It's hard to tell what the injuries did to his throwing motion/accuracy etc. last year. Just wondering how a deal would look at the beginning of free agency after his 2020 playoff win season. From an extremely optimistic point of view, that could be the Baker we are getting...
  17. Yeah you can zone your LBs to help out Burns' side. When both sides suck at stopping the run, you are screwed...
  18. True, but when it comes to Baker and his character concerns, saying the right things will go a longer way than your average player...
  19. It's probably Tepper saying he doesn't want Darnold on his field again after last year.
  20. It's a totally different group of people (marketing, PR etc) that are designing uniforms vs the ones that are developing a winning team. The Rams just did a huge refresh and still won a championship. There is no correlation whatsoever....
  21. Lol you honestly like the old logo better?? You just had change man. I know some people like that, but I assure you more people like the newer logo vs the old one.
  22. Our new logo looks better than our old. I'm all for improvements...
