Wow… When the CB does the panic look at the refs after the play you know there was PI.

Article: The Multiplicity of the Panthers Defense
ForJimmy replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers
The only thing I’m worried about while watching this defense is getting a boner… ~Michael Scott (kind of) -
He has a smaller frame and was injured at BYU against lesser competition. Injury is definitely a concern…

DJax tackling has been great! I love the energy he and Horn bring to the defense. It’s crazy how quickly this staff has turned around our defense. -

Yeah I’m enjoying seeing the fan base fired up about our team. I think it’s a tad early for the “I told you so” moments going around. The fans that really don’t want our team to succeed (I can imagine there are very many) will gradually fade into the background as we keep getting better throughout Rhule’s career. I think we got something special in him and he seems to be smart about his assistants (Brady and Snow look legit). -

Because we have seen overreactions on both sides. Kyle Allen was the next big thing during his mini win streak. Teddy started off getting wins and was deemed our next future QB. On the flip side we have people wanting Rhule on the hot seat after one season as a head coach during a rebuild. When/If Darnold has a bad game these same people overreacting are going to be screaming and crying he is a bust. I don’t mind people getting excited at all. I was fired up all game Sunday and afterwards. It was a thing of beauty watching our defense crush Payton’s offense. I hope we do the same thing to the Texans tomorrow night. Just making sure I follow. You are concerned these people are making bad predictions before any games have been played, but now want them to make some after two home games? I am loving the creativity by Snow and this defense. Him staying at the stadium after a dominate performance is one of my favorite stories so far. I’m also loving seeing Darnold stay cool under pressure and taking on a leadership role. The future is definitely bright with this young team and great staff! -

Oh I’m definitely happy. This is the easy part of our schedule and our defense has looked solid (now we get Bouye back) and Darnold is looking comfortable and coachable. We should only get better as the season progresses, but so do our opponents. -

Yeah I’m the same. This feels a little premature… -
Because they didn’t play good? I mean what’s the concern? Are they going to come on the Huddle and get their feelings hurt? It’s an issue that needs to be addressed on what is looking to be a solid roster.

The line played good enough. I think Erving did better than I expected. We can still call out a player that didn’t hold blocks well. Darnold did a great job avoiding pressure (Teddy would have been sacked on some of those plays) CMC had to make something out of nothing a lot. Serious question though (I honestly don’t know), does Davenport not normally start for the Saints?
-
I mean the offenses are becoming more like college offenses with spreads, quick passes, QB runs, read options. It makes sense for defenses to adjust to be more like college as well..
-
Darnold not being touched doesn’t mean our guard played great. Darnold has been great at quick reads/passes and pocket awareness (aside from getting drilled while tossing that pick) in spite of our line play. The interior didn’t look like it was doing that good of a job, our coaches and QB just adjusted accordingly.

Bouye coming back in time to play his old team.

If he keeps this up through the tougher part of the schedule Fitterer gets GM of the freaking year!

"Sam needs preseason reps, this coaching staff is clueless."
ForJimmy replied to Rags's topic in Carolina Panthers
He has played great. Teddy did at first and Kyle Allen went 5-0 at first. The good news is he has looked MUCH better than he did with the Jets. I’m just saying 2 home games is premature to consider him our next franchise QB. I hope he is the guy. We can use our offseason to beef up our line and our offense will be legit.
