  1. Yeah this always confuses me too. I keep reading Brees was WAY taller. Brees was 6 foot and 1/4, Russ was 5 foot 10 and 5/8, Kyler was the exact same height. The funny thing is Caleb might not be 6 foot. USC has him listed as 6 foot and 1 inch, but I keep reading it's more like 6 foot even or possible a little smaller. The whole narrative has to be adjusted to make us look worse (which I mean it isn't necessary we screwed up plenty as a team). Young was the same height as a recent top pick, most people had Young as QB1, the Texans wanted Young and inquired about trading up to 1 for him. It's turning into Young was the shortest ever and we reached like crazy for him because Tepper made us.

  3. Just saying don’t come down so hard on Smitty like that. A lot of people had Young as QB1.
  4. Young was QB1 on a lot of boards. Some people are just wanting to rewrite history around here.
  5. $20 million this year limits us to a degree. I agree with the franchise bungling comment though.
  6. Which years we absorb certain amounts. We can manipulate all of that more in a longer term contract.
  7. Wouldn’t tagging him for two years eat up a chunk of an extension without the flexibility??
  8. Yep. Let it happen naturally. Either Bryce develops or leads up to a top pick.
  9. It's a good debate and it's what makes this a hot topic. Both views can be right and both have good points. My final view is if the right trade is there take it IE the Baltimore trade. If not, tag or try to extend if you can get a deal similar to the Sweat deal. There are several variables to consider. We just need a replacement plus capital if we trade him IMO.
  10. I mean CMC benched himself with injuries to not get hurt. Players do this all the time. He was just honest about it. So are we trading about Brown because of this rebuild? Or are you wanting to hold on to some talent. I just don't want to see people crying about Burns like they have been with Moore and CMC if he and traded and plays well.
  11. People seem to love change which I get because our team hasn't been performing, but we have traded away some real talent lately for bad returns. At some point you have to retain some talent plus add new pieces to build a complete roster.
  12. His job is to pressure the QB which is does. Our offense always playing from behind giving him way less chances to make a game saving play isn't really on him as much as it is on our entire team. I just know watching that game he missed (Bears game I believe) our pass rush was nonexistent and it was frustrating. I'd love to see him with another decent edge on the line.
  13. I'd be down for a trade like this. https://lastwordonsports.com/nfl/2024/01/31/brian-burns-trade-ravens-panthers/ Hypothetical Trade We’d Love to See: EDGE Brian Burns for 2024 first-round pick, 2025 third-round pick and EDGE David Ojabo Ojabo can replace Burns in the lineup, we get a first and a future 3rd.
  14. I mean there aren't many opportunities for a sack to completely change the outcome of a game. Especially with how terrible our offense has been playing. A sack puts the other team's offense in a bad spot. It's up to our team and coaches to take advantage of that afterwards.
  15. I could see that. I mean the Rams seem to be a well ran organization and were willing to give up a lot for him?
  16. The draft is tough for pass rushers even if we use a premium pick (which will also cost some money). Is there a FA we can get at a decent price?
  17. I saw our game without him this year there was 0 pressure. It was awful. He is disruptive as a pass rusher, I mean he just had 12.5 sacks the prior year…
  18. If we trade him. Who are we replacing hIm with? I’m not against it providing the compensation is right and we have a replacement. I liked that Ravens trade scenario floating around a few weeks ago.
  19. Great stuff as always. Do you think Malik can be an outside WR? With AT in the slot and the slot being Mingo’s natural position I think we really need some outside WRs. I don’t know enough about Malik to know if he is that kind of WR or not…
  20. Yeah and I’m saying that’s really not the case. It was a 6.2 YPA boring ass Reich offense we have seen all year. There was just a lot more attempts so 2 went for the 25 plus instead of 1.
  21. Here is when the WR turns to look for the pass. I mean they each have a foot inside the same yard marker. If you think that’s 3-5 yards I’m not sure what to tell you.
