  1. I think firing Reich was the right thing. Just like firing Rhule. Hiring these guys is a different story. Plus his desire to find a QB every year plus his involvement etc…
  2. Texas lost their QB? I think you have them confused with FSU.
  3. Yeah it’s really hard to make an assessment IMO. He has brought some of the struggles on himself, but the offense is a complete mess. Most former players and analysts understand this.
  4. We are 1-10 in last without a first round pick. Disfunction is a given. Reporters also love to run wild with any hint of a story. Thats also a given.
  5. We have reports of Tepper calling plays now as well. It’s really getting out of hand. I’d take a lot of these reports with a grain of salt at this point.
  6. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39025620/quinn-ewers-return-texas-becoming-more-likely
  7. I like Penix but he is older with some great weapons around him. He didn’t play like this at Indiana just like Bo Nix didn’t at Auburn.
  8. And he is our 2nd highest rated OL playing tomorrow. That’s a scary thought…
  9. He does bring on some. Have you see our OL’s PFF rating though? It’s insane. All rookies have to adapt to the speed of the NFL and take unnecessary sacks, but watching them play this year it’s painfully obvious the interior OL is a huge issue. I think Parsons got to him in under 2.5 seconds 9 different times while playing sick by just going right down the middle.
  10. Yes Harbaugh had brief success in the NFL. He also inherited a solid roster and only coached for what 4-5 years? He wins everywhere he goes so he should be good, but I still prefer the GM/HC balance.
  11. I could see him doing it backwards which I don’t like. Let someone like Ben Johnson pick his GM to make the job offer more appealing.
  12. It’s definitely better than what we have, but I don’t like the HC having full control like Rhule. Just fire Fitt, hire a good GM and let him pick your next HC.
  13. Penix isn’t the youngest but I like him a lot better.
  14. Careful he will run to the mods…. Oh wait!
  15. I have no idea. I think Tepper is definitely over eager for a QB. Teddy, Sam, Baker, wanted Fields, wanted Watson, rushed this trade up which all add up to why our roster is so bare right now. I’m actually for slowing down and trying to build a team around Young. It gives Young a more adequate evaluation and if he continues to struggle we should have a better roster to plug our new QB in.
  16. They were close no doubt. Some had them as 1A and 1B. However to your point we did draft Young despite Stroud being the better fit and most people gave us a good grade for it. No one was surprised or shocked, and a lot thought it was the right pick.
  17. Exactly. It's just history we can't change it because he disagree with it. I remember Stroud jumping up some after his Pro Day (it was a thing of beauty) and then Young jumped up after his Pro Day (he was doing a lot of throwing off the run showing off his elasticity). McCown plus Reich's typical tall QBs had Stroud linked to us at 1 for a while but most people had Young ranked higher (and it wasn't some big gap, they were very close). Put it this way no one would have been shocked if we took Stroud and no one was shocked we took Young.
  18. He wasn't like Manning, Luck, or Lawrence as a generational type prospect. Every one of these QBs were quoted as having weaknesses. However he was regarded as the best of the bunch. They always stated if he grew 2 inches he would be on Luck's level as a generational QB. You will see boards that have players like Will Anderson over him, but he was still normally the first QB on the board. The S2 just made them love him even more. I mean Richardson did much better than Stroud on the S2, but most still have Stroud as a close 2nd to Young. I remember this because it's what made me ok with drafting Young when I wanted Stroud. It gets blurry because Vegas thought we were drafting Stroud because of his size and Reich's style of QBs. Stroud was typically right there behind him in the rankings.
  19. I disagree, they loved Young even the prior year when he won Heisman was the last QB to beat UGA and took his team to the playoffs. I think you are confusing the talking heads/analysts with the Huddle. Most of us on the Huddle wanted Stroud. Young was the media darling and they loved him.
  20. I mean we are showing "consensus" big boards that back up what we are saying. You came in crowing about a former GM liking Stroud and acting like it was debunking anyone who said Bryce was ranked at the top QB before the draft. That's just not really how it works... It's a silly argument because it's irrelevant where they were projected or ranked before the draft. Remember Mitch was drafted over Mahomes and people had him ranked higher.
  21. toxicity or cope- both are used against each other over and over again.
  22. Here is another consensus big board for these people in denial. Again this doesn't mean they were right as they were not. https://theathletic.com/4377450/2023/04/04/nfl-draft-big-board-prospects/ -For the record Dane Brugler (who I like a lot) had Stroud as the better prospect in his personal rankings.
  23. Of the 3 links you posted 1 had Young at 4 (highest QB) and Stroud at 6. One literally said it could be Young or Stroud as QB1. You found 3 links in which one was a wash, one had Young as QB1, and one had Stroud. These aren't just mocks, it's big boards and player rankings. You can't change history man whether it was wrong or right.
