Fair and valid points. Young is probably better at pre snap defensive reads. This is definitely something our staff can coach and develop though. A lot of young QBs struggle with that. Young is very mature in that aspect of his game.

So Reich has said Young’s height and durability ARE a concern. Maybe posters on here can stop pretending like it’s not.. The question is do his intangibles outweigh his physical limitations. They are off the charts so they might.

I hope he makes it to 39…

Same. To me Stroud isn't much behind Young in processing and has just as good accuracy. Those 2 are definitely a tier above the rest but one would just be taking a bit of a risk being a size outlier at the next level. Now if our staff choses Young I will be all in and excited as well. Both are great prospects IMO.

Another issue is he doesn't really play Brady ball. Brady is a pocket passer who gets the ball out quick. You don't see him running around extending plays very often. It's a double edged sword because it is also what makes Young special, but it could lead to extra hits on his leaner frame. Do you taper that style down at the next level or just let Young be Young and risk injuries? It's a tough call...

If Young is good plus his size the NFL will absolutely penalize anyone that touches him (of course if it is a playoff game the other team may think the penalty is worth it). My biggest concern with Young is how his HEIGHT will limit our offense to a degree. At pick 1 I am not sure you accept that when there is another option almost as good who won't have those limitations.

I blame Cam's short career on our staff. Never getting him a LT and running him too much. I don't think a player Young's size even makes it through that Super Bowl game with Denver sending head missiles at the QB....

Yeah it’s usually “I prefer Stroud due to the size concerns” vs Young will be hurt less because of his size, he is the next Curry, Bruce Lee, Brees, Mahomes, and his Alabama team was terrible so he carried them. He is basically flawless. I like both and prefer Stroud while admitting BOTH have weaknesses. The Bama fanboys make it seem like I am anti-Young. I just think some of them have crazy takes.

How is he gonna let LSU beat him in such a crucial game that decided the SEC championship game and playoffs? Even Richardson and his awful supporting cast put up more points against LSU than Young. Am I doing it right?

I don’t hold any of that against Young because I can actually look at the player vs the team.
