I think Levis will dominate the combine for what it’s worth.

I’m talking about this original arguments months ago. Pocket passer was your original argument. You have moved and shuffled it to where 1 epic bust, Vick, and now Fields who is still pretty raw an developing fit into running QBs. You don’t remember claiming Russ didn’t run that much during his Super Bowl run? Regardless everyone agrees a QB has to be able to throw a ball. I’m just glad you have conquer33 your fear of QBs that can run. Here is another take as obvious as QBs have to be able to pass. They have to also read defenses. It’s why Sam Darnold will never win a Super Bowl. Darnold, Couch, and possibly Zach Wilson can be added to that category.

The funny thing is your dumb argument started with “pocket passers” win Super Bowls. Then it got destroyed then you changed it quite a bit since then. Your argument now is QBs that can’t throw don’t win championships. Well no poo. Thanks for that groundbreaking thought. QBs that can’t throw typically don’t last in the league. No one is wanting to draft AR thinking he will only run. His arm talent is what makes him such a high ceiling prospect. Fun fact, Hurts scored his 15th rushing (that means running btw) TD of the year passing Cam’s previous record of 14. If your QB can run, it’s quite an advantage and many teams are wanting QBs than can now.

Tell it to the analysts?

Cam was breaking down from hits in the pocket. They have an actual OL for Hurts (which might be missing a few starters). Cam’s best LT was Oher for one year which happens to be the same year he went 15-1 and got us all the way to the big game. Luck retired early because his body was wearing down from lack of OL as well…

I believe that post was about the best QB in the NFC.

You would draft a QB in the 1st? Aren’t you the guy always rambling about how later round QBs are more successful??
-
Jaren Hall is getting a little overlooked IMO. He seems to be a solid mid to late draft guy.
-
I just remember watching Cam dominate on offense and Fairley did the same on defense.
-
Nick Fairley was a beast at DT. He went pretty high in the draft too I believe.
-
Yeah you have had to move “running” QB into such a tight window it’s stupid. It’s basically Vick (who actually could throw with the Eagles), and The Golden Calf of Bristol who was just a bust at the position. I’m looking at the top 3 QBs in the league with rushing yards and one of them is in the Super Bowl.
-
Yeah I will be happy with any of the 4 at 9.

I don't think we should take AR at 1, but the running QBs in the postseason talk is very dated. We have Hurts (who is probably the 2nd/3rd best runner out of all of the QBs in the NFL) and Mahomes (who can run we needed) in the Super Bowl this year. Cam took us to the big game which involved several post season wins. Russ Wilson was running pretty often when they won the Super Bowl. The thought on AR is fixing his footwork and making him a QB with a cannon who can also beat you with his legs when needed.

Yeah the CMC picks plus next year's first basically. I would be ok with that, but like you said I doubt they take that offer....
-
Wouldn't that be embarrassing for us? The QB that was sitting there two years ago and we should have drafted in the first place. With that said I would still love for him to be a Panther.
-
He did it with Trask and Carson Strong. It’s his thing…
-
Yeah he played injured and losing his OC hurt. That’s why it’s so much better to have an offensive minded HC. Allen dropped and Jones looked much better. It’s the Daboll effect.
-
Aren’t the Bucs like 55 million over the cap? Their roster will look a lot different come game day.

It’s kind of nice right? Especially when we are looking at QBs. -
Sam is erratic. Good game, awful game, good game, top 5 worst rating ever game. I'd rather have a steady constant as the bridge QB/placeholder until the rookie is ready. Teddy Bridgewater was actually a good choice that was overpaid. It should have been Teddy as the bridge QB and draft Fields.

What is Darnold's record as a starter? 21-35? Isn't that what you hated on Brissett for?

It's mostly Reich's offense and now Duce Staley will have his input (especially in the running game). Cooter (makes me chuckle every time) was Pederson's passing game coordinator this past year and played a major role in developing Lawrence after Meyer screwed everything up in Jacksonville. Sounds like a good person to help develop a rookie QB when we draft one. -
He has a career QB rating of 84.4 with around 61% completions. He is average but is more than capable of sitting back and being a game manager. Who do you want to start if we draft someone like Richardson or Levis who needs time? You aren't going to sign some QB with a win percentage of 75% because those aren't available, especially not for cheap.
