  1. They wanted to see his plan for the offense/QB going forward. He earned his interviews they just liked the plan from a former QB, OC, and HC in regards to QB and offense development which makes sense. Tepper brought in Eric Reid when he was being blackballed. He had no problem with Reid peacefully protesting before games. He brought in Wilks to help Rhule and take over when Rhule failed. He wanted to hire both WIlks and Reich because he knew he needed an offensive guy as that’s the way the league is trending. There are plenty of cases where racism screws over the more qualified candidate, I just don’t think this is one of them.
  2. We very well might start 0-2 as it will be a new staff, HC, QB, and system. The difference is we KNOW Reich has a very realistic plan of finding sustained success and can lead a team at this level. The odds of him working out seem a lot higher than an unknown.
  3. Reich won a Super Bowl as the OC with Foles as his QB. He had Wentz up for the MVP before he got hurt. The Colts situation was a tough one in which he still won more than he lost. His ceiling is still pretty high IMO.
  4. If Reich and his record is mediocre what does that make WIlks? Our strategy is clear now. Reich is the guy Tepper wants to pick a staff (which he is good at just look at the Eagles current staff and another became HC in Chicago), and equally as important pick and possibly develop our future QB. Once we have our QB if Reich can’t get us there we will find someone else who can.
  5. Steve Wilks is an average HC. You say “good” but I think some of us are still comparing him to Rhule who is awful. Wilks was a breath of fresh air and looked phenomenal compared to Rhule, but Rhule shouldn’t be in the NFL at all. We had an easy schedule in one of the historically worst divisions and he did manage to go 6-6. Our roster is actually decent and several analysts picked us to win our division before the season started (probably giving too much faith in Baker). So WIlks basically had us playing to the level we should have been all year. The Bengals game and last Bucs game really tell the story. The Bengals simply ran it down our throats with no issue and Brady realized we were leaving our 3rd/4th CB on an island with Evans which resulted in THERE TDs on the exact same play. Oh and the playoffs were on the line….. I’ll give him credit for the Lions and Seahawks, but those other 2 I mentioned were just embarrassing. That’s what you get with an average coach though…
  6. I’d rather gamble on great than be content with average. You keep gambling on great until you finally get it right.
  7. Come on now there is nothing against Wilks. He coached his style and did the best he could. We just went a different direction.
  8. It’s because Reich knows QBs and he knows that means his boy Darnold has no long term future with us now.
  9. He wanted to pull for his father-in-law you twat…
  10. I would do that trade. I’m thinking 9, 39, and Burns might be close assuming the Bears are high on Burns.
  11. On a side note I keep reading about Reich being really into his faith (he was preaching before coaching) and I’ve seen similar things said about Stroud. I think Reich and Stroud can have a nice bromance if it works out that way.
  12. Tell them to enjoy Saturday every Sunday.
  13. I mean aside from this last season where his OL was in shambles with an old statue QB behind it, he had the Colts playing very well considering the whole Luck situation. That can set back franchises for years in most cases. I’m also high on Stroud.
  14. I was afraid of that. He is just mad the person he wanted didn’t get the job. Makes sense… Reich wasn’t my top choice but he is a very logical choice and I can’t argue with that.
  15. Sounds like a broad generalized comment. Were there any examples of mismatches he completely missed as the Colts HC or the Eagles OC (especially when they won the Super Bowl)? I’m actually curious.
  16. Who knows? He is a young double digit sack pass rusher who just made the All Pro team. He could even be packaged in the trade as the Bears could certainly use him.
  17. That's a power beard if I have ever seen one....
  18. Hmm how would everyone feel about signing Ngakoue and flipping Burns for some picks to acquire a QB. Ngakoue would probably cost less money and be a solid replacement for Burns. Use the picks to move up and draft Stroud. Just thinking out loud....
  19. Reich signed a 4 year deal and Fitt and company have been talking about drafting one for a minute. I would bet we draft one this year. I'm kind of intrigued to see what Reich can do with a Richardson or Levis, it probably depends on who his OC is.
  20. Yeah I wouldn't want to trade more than next year's 1st and a 2nd/3rd this year. 3 firsts is just too much for an unproven QB....
  21. Was he bringing in the retreads in Indy? I don’t think he had any roster control.
  22. Yeah the HC that groomed and developed the Eagles young HC and OC is so dated in his ways.
