  1. The OL looked a little better as the game went on. We really need some running plays to get them going though.
  2. Did he get hurt? Looked like he slowed down a bit at the end…
  3. Yeah he sucked it up. Levis didn’t play that well either and Slovis got hurt again… Still early in the season though.
  4. Nah you need to try Carolina Reapers. Thank me later…
  5. With the bad weather I’m just hoping we get a win with no major injuries
  6. Yeah I agree. He should get worked in and if he feels healthy enough, take the starting role over before the game ends.
  7. Well our banter has highjacked this thread long enough. I find it hard to believe a 1st round tackle wasn't going to start all year especially with him already getting reps with the 1s, but I surrender. If you say he wasn't, you know your team much better than I do (as I couldn't recognize a bunch of those defensive starters). However, Darnold and Rhule still beat your team joining (NYJ with Wilson's first start, Texans with Mills first start, the Falcons, and the Cards with Colt McCoy). That was a rough year for us looking back at it.... Looking forward to this season and I would wish your team some luck if it wasn't the Saints!
  8. Yeah I just don't think anyone is writing him off over an ACL tear. The concern is how much can he contribute THIS year and how soon. His future is probably still pretty good.
  9. Oh yeah there is definitely a recovery time period. Hurting his so late in the post season makes this year tough. However an ACL tear isn't what it use to be. If anyone was interested in him for more than this season, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
  10. torn acls have a pretty high recovery rate these days. Burrow bounced back big time and Thomas Davis tore his what 3 times??
  11. This one is official, that one was for fun! PS @jackson113that shirt looks great on you. Brings out your eyes....
  12. It's more like we are their farm system at this point....
  13. He has the keys to the offense. Hopefully he can have us respectable this year.
  14. The Browns do have a strong rushing offense and the potential bad weather should be in their favor. I think we still win this one, but it will be a hard fought game…
  15. Nice research/analysis! Yeah not many defenses can hold us with an offense as bad as ours was last year. No ToP and constantly turning it over is devastating to a defense. Plus once teams got a lead (knowing how bad our offense is), all they had to do is run the ball and eat the clock. Once again I think our season hangs on how good our OL can. If they can be solid, Baker should have a good year and our defense will be able to rest/apply pressure on obvious passing downs. If they aren't good it could be another long season....
  16. On a side note. No more mentioning Brees in topics. It attracts some of their troll fans… I swear you can mention his name across the world and some “Who Dat” fan would pop out from behind the corner bragging about how many times he choked in the playoffs.
  17. Just argue with the ESPN writer. They wanted to pull offensive starters, but unfortunately starting LT Penning got hurt. Great the guy he was drafted in the first round to replace is also battling an injury. If Penning was definitely going to be backup all year (which your dumb argument of another rookie who might have, but actually started week one is something you are clinging on to), it would have been noted by this writer. Instead they were talking about how the Saints couldn’t avoid injuries to all starters. Lol at trying to flex about posting on other boards. My point is 1st round OL will see the field even if they have to move them out of position whether it be OG or RT. Your guy was already getting reps with the 1s and the season hasn’t even started. I don’t know if it’s Pride or ignorance, but if you still can’t grasp that the 19th pick in the draft who was splitting reps with the 1s after one preseason game wasn’t going to start at some point I’m going to write it off as a lost cause. Go run along and bother some Falcons fans now.
  18. Yeah considering he didn’t even design the shirts. It’s the media trying to find something to talk about. Luckily the season starts tomorrow night!
  19. You really think a first round pick that was splitting reps with the 1s (against the guy he was drafted to replace) wasn’t going to get a starting job this year? Icky was in the same boat as Penning after one week of preseason then he “won” the job. The example you keep using is another first round rookie WHO STARTED his rookie year. Moving goalposts? I stated you lost your left tackle due to injury and you stated he wasn’t going to start this year. We are still debating that original statement. Do you even know what moving the goalposts means or do you just use it as a generic rebuttal to people arguing with you? The fact that you have been on an opponent’s message board for a long time is suppose to redeem you? That some how makes it more pathetic. Must be great to be a Saints fan crawling on to opponents boards for all these years! How exciting! Recap of his last game https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34466638/jameis-winston-efficient-brief-debut-new-orleans-saints-trevor-penning-trequan-smith-leave-hurt?platform=amp The Saints quickly began to pull offensive starters after that, replacing the entire offensive line and Winston on the next series. But it wasn't quick enough to avoid injuries. Starting left tackle Trevor Penning, a 2022 first-round pick, went to the sideline and was carted off with a toe injury.
