4.25 for Sam and 7.5 for Baker (who will be our starter). It’s an upgrade for cheap now get on with your life man. He may not be elite but should make us more competitive than Sam.

You don’t get it. No one is saying Baker is going to be our savior. We are saying it was a good trade considering how little was given up to acquire a mid-level starting QB. Something we haven’t had in several years now… Strong was undrafted. Hopefully he can make the roster or practice squad.

Are there actual journalist who feel this way or is it just you and the poster who wanted to convince everyone Carson Strong is the next best QB outside of Trask?

We could have got him for a dollar and future 7th and he will still be pissed. If the franchise doesn’t go the EXACT way he wants we is going to bitch and moan about it. It’s a pretty miserable way to be. I’m just glad we got it done for so cheap.

I never supported Sam but if you want to make up complete poo to prove your point well that says a lot about your point. There are PLENTY of posts/comments to call me out on so there is no need to make up any. L -For the 5th time, I am not saying Baker will be our franchise QB. I am saying it was a super cheap deal for a clear upgrade and a player that has a chance (a small one) to put it all together. I will be happy with Baker this year and Corral taking over when he is ready.

You wanted recent QBs that went to different teams and went on the have successful careers. That's about a recent as it gets. I know you are upset but we will get through this. At worst we lost a future 4th and $5 million this year. It's going to be ok....

The Browns didn't try to trade Baker. You want recent? Russ WIlson, Matt Stafford both requested trades and got traded the past 2 years which is exactly what Baker did. I mean you wanted to them have a career AFTER being traded so it can't really be super recent because we would need enough time to pass.

I just googled your question you. Enjoy the read. -Seriously though, do I think Baker is our next great QB? Probably not, but we got him for so cheap I don't understand the outrage.... He is a definite upgrade and even if he has a 5% chance you be our future QB then it's easily worth it for what we have given up.

You have some serious issues man. Learn some reading comprehension without getting so freaking triggered. I used EXTREME cases to show the FLAW in his logic. No where does it say Baker is a HoF QB or anywhere close to being as good as any of those guys. Just because a team no longer wants a QB doesn't mean they are terrible and I illustrated this by showing damn good QBs that had to switch teams. I can't believe I'm having to break this poo down for you. It's like arguing with Sizzle....

His point is you can lump that Darnold trade in with many other trades and make it look bad. We all agree that trade was dumb and so was the extension. That doesn't mean this trade is....

That's the point. Just because a team no longer wants a QB doesn't mean they are terrible. I used extreme cases to prove a point. The Patroits didn't want to pay Brady what he deserved (dumb move). Manning and Brees were hurt, but recovered fine. I mean Baker was technically hurt too, he just played through it. I just love how I clearly stated I am using extreme cases on purpose and you still try to call it out.

Kind of like Drew Brees's Chargers didn't want him, Manning's Colts no longer wanted him, Brady's Patriots. Obviously extreme cases to show the flaw in your logic.
