I don’t think his hands are that bad of an issue. Check out his thumb when he is showing Fitt and McAdoo his stretched out hand it bends up severely first then goes out. This doesn’t matter when it wraps around the football as he demonstrates. That could more than make up the 3/8 of an inch he is under 9 inches.

We went from this class is horrible to Pickett might not be there at 6. Pickett and WIllis might go in the top 10 and I wouldn't be surprise if Ridder, Howell, and Corral all go in the first as well. This class isn't as bad as people are making it out to be. I could see the Saints and Steelers drafting a Corral/Ridder to sit behind Winston/Mitch for a year with their first round picks.

Baker wouldn't be terrible if we drafted Willis. It lets him sit/develop a year, but I don't think Baker would be ok with it plus I don't want to give up draft picks.

With our new defense in the NFC I would think so. Especially is Marshall or Shi Smith develop into anything decent.

I think he ran away from the board because he couldn't defend his nonsense position on him compared to Dalton.

Lol you bring up rushing yards but ignore passing yards. Why are you even stating how many rushing yards they have as they is just a stat that is meaningless to you. Like I stated earlier Pickett uses his legs to extend plays to make his passes (go compare passing yards to Dalton’s since you are with rushing). You don’t want him we get it, but you really can’t justify why other than your heard he was like Andy Dalton somewhere. Andy Dalton couldn’t get off his first option and go through progressions. So his weakness was actually a strength of Pickett. He is broken and stuck on Dalton.

He runs a 4.6 is constantly keeps his eyes down field. Rolling out and extending plays to buy time to make your throw is a great trait for a QB, go watch Mahomes and Rodgers as they do this constantly. He can also pick up the first down with his legs if he needs to, but he is a pass first QB. 38 pass attempts per game in a NFL style offense against a decent conference is a positive thing. It shows that he can consistently make these plays and go through his reads. Give me 38 attempts with a high completion rate and yard vs a lower attempt. A larger sample size of passes is better. Pitt had one of the better QBs in the NCAA of course they are going to air it out and guess what? Is usually worked as they won the ACC for the first time in a while. He is perhaps the best QB in this draft at mid range throws and can fit the ball into tight windows. So he has size, speed, and a good enough arm. People hate him because he is boring. He won’t launch it 75 yards down the field and he won’t break 5 tackles on a run, but he is a solid prospect. The same thing happen with Mac. But hey you read somewhere his comparison is Dalton…

I know Warner and Manning did (later in his career). I think Brady has before as well. I'm not worried about the gloves as long as he can throw well in bad weather...

lol I actually prefer Willis and then probably Howell, but I think the Pickett hate us just overblown by a large margin. It was similar to Mac Jones last year (and I was one of his haters). Accuracy and the ability to read through progressions quickly is underrated plus he has good athletic ability and a decent arm.

I just said he is more athletic than Dalton as well. Joe Burris/Mac Jones were the two latest to light up the stat sheets. They seem to be doing ok in the NFL. He won Pitt their first ACC championship in a long time. PS Pitt runs a NFL Pro offense and he broke Marino’s record and Watson’s ACC record. It wasn’t a college air raid offense that Harrell was in. You would know that if you actually watched the games instead of repeating lazy comparisons you read online.

Andy Dalton couldn’t break 3000 passing yards at TCU. He is more athletic, better at passing and has the stats to prove it. I don’t know how good he will be, but Andy Dalton isn’t his ceiling. You could almost combine the best two Dalton college years and have worse numbers than Pickett’s last season.

Lance won Natty in a inferior conference playing for a team that is heads and shoulders above it’s competition. NDSU has won 9 championships in the past decade. Liberty is an obscure football team in a superior league than Lance plays in. He also got Liberty ranked in the NCAA (you know the league Lance couldn’t get any offers to play in). It’s just funny to me that you like a raw, high potential prospect that couldn’t get an offer from any top schools so he played in an inferior league, but another raw talented player (who got offers) isn’t as good because he played for a smaller school in the superior league. Kurt Warner, Big Ben, Tony Romo, Jake Delhomme, Josh Allen are all examples of players that played for smaller schools and did great in the NFL.

He got the contract he wanted for a team he wanted. You are looking desperate hoping he has some additional conduct issue that in listed in said contract that would negate it. Unfortunately he is too talented of a player at a premium position and teams are going to look past these off field issues. He strong armed the Texans owner and it worked despite how much you didn't want it to. Russ also got traded after requesting a trade. How does that make you feel?
