  1. He has blood clotting issues that worried some coaches about how long/if he will play. In the 5th/6th it’s a no brainer, but not much earlier.
  2. I mean there is a solution when a coordinator isn’t performing…
  3. We knew it was a rebuild from last year. Winning a few games early always raises expectations to unrealistic levels. Should we have won this game? Yes! Does losing it mean Rhule can’t coach and we are stuck at being a mediocre franchise? No. I just didn’t expect our team to scrap all it franchise players, repairs it’s salary cap, and be a playoff team in year 2. We had a ton of needs when Rhule took over. Let’s let him rebuild and not overreact. I mean Sam went from being a Tannehill/Rodgers one week to Jets Sam the next by our fans. Let’s just be patient and see how this season unfolds.
  4. I saw 2 Robby drops on critical plays that would have won us this game with our best player, LT, MLB, and best CB injured. These overreactions are getting insane. The 2 things that discouraged me this game were 1. Sam going back to bad habits (I’m sure his protection has some to do with it. 2. Our interior line being nearly unwatchable. Sign a FA to send a message (doesn’t matter who) and let Brown take reps away from Daley in practice. BC and Moton (obviously) should be locks to start. I don’t care if we put Moton back to RT and let BC play guard. Honestly Erving LT, BC LG, Moton at RT might be our best option with Brown giving RG a shot. We should have won this game, but we didn’t. How we respond is going to dictate our season. Rhule and Brady better be in the film room all week and make some OL changes soon. I’m not really concerned about the playoffs as much as us improving from last year. 8-9 or 9-8 would be good providing we show improvement and development of our young team. Year 3 is usually Rhule’s year judging by his history.
  5. Would a MVP Cam win a game our new young QB lost? Maybe?
  6. Now is Darnold’s chance for a game winning drive.
  7. Ok Darnold shake off that INT and make some plays!
  8. If we didn’t have Darnold playing well he would be worth considering. No one will be able to play great every game until we figure out our line issues. OL will hopefully be priority one this offseason/draft.
  9. I think they view Christensen as a G/RT. I know he played LT in college, but not sure if he can in the NFL. Plus our best lineman will be protecting Sam’s blindside.
  10. I’m still in New Orleans (smells of sewage and Saints’ tears), but will definitely be out eating some local food with my Panthers hat on. It’s actually a pretty cool city aside from all the ugly Saints logos everywhere but you didn’t hear it from me…
  11. Shaq is crucial, but he should still be on the sidelines calling out adjustments and helping our young defense. Chinn might actually be better at covering than Shaq. Hopefully we can get by the next few weeks with Chinn filling a bigger role on defense.
  12. Good post. This draft was already weak at QB and the top ones haven’t had the seasons they were wanting so far…
  13. Both of Tannehill’s seasons with the Titans have been good with last year being great. Tannehill’s floor wasn’t last year, his floor was with the Dolphins. However, he has proven he can play the position at a high level in the right scheme. You can’t say Darnold’s floor is Tannehill because Tannehill has two years of playing great in a good system and Darnold has zero so far. So let’s see what a player does before we estimate what his floor is (kind of takes the point out of it)? Once again Darnold has played for 3 years in this league and that was his floor (I hope). We are now bumping his floor to a player that just had a great season based on what? Yes we have to wait and see what he does this season, but that doesn’t show what his floor is? One could argue that’s his ceiling if he plays well? I could say his ceiling is Tannehill, plays bad in a bad system, but can potentially be great in the right one. His floor is the WORST case scenario which was the Jets. It just seems odd and based on nothing to say his floor is a QB capable of playing great and his ceiling is a league MVP. If our staff thought they were getting a Tannehill at worst with a potential of Rodgers they would have locked him down for the next 5 years.
  14. That doesn’t change what his “floor” is. You get that right? That’s worst case scenario. We have already seen him at his worst on NYJ. That’s his floor. He is clearly better than that, but that’s still his floor aka the worst he can be. This isn’t an insult to him. We have seen his worst and he us much better with Carolina.
  15. To say his FLOOR is a QB who has been very good his past several years in Tennessee would be wrong. Tannehill has proven he can play good football with the right system/players. Darnold looks like he has so far this season, but to call a proven solid NFL QB his FLOOR is a stretch. If that’s his floor, meaning the absolute worst he can be, go ahead and extend him 5 years. Any decent staff can get a player to play above his FLOOR. We have already seen Darnold’s floor. It’s the Jets Darnold and he has already shown he can be much better than that. He also doesn’t have the arm talent for Rodgers to be his ceiling. Darnold has a gear arm, but Rodgers is just on another level.
  16. Yep. We’ve seen his floor. Hopefully his floor here is much higher!
  17. Can’t remember… I know they had Ringo that Doc really wanted to kill. Were they just called “cowboys?”
  18. Russ with Sean Payton in NO would be a nightmare. Also Dallas would be fools to trade for him when they have Dak who us elite and still getting better…
  19. I feel like DJax will get one soon…
  20. Nah I just ran into him. Super nice guy! He is very high on our team.
