So the backpedaling is starting! Got it. We can even look at Toronto constantly getting knocked out of the playoffs early, Leonard joins them and wins a championship. Leonard leaves and Toronto is back at being bounced early. The players control the league. Durant left the Warriors and they miss the playoffs, he joined the Nets and they are an instant contender. You referenced the 90s and early 2000s teams to counter this, but that was before the players took over. Lebron changed the whole NBA in that sense. As for the Bucks, they are Giannis’s team. They rise and fall with him. If he chooses to leave they will look like the Cavs when Lebron left. I know you hate player control, but that’s the NBA now.

They (LA) won in spite of ownership. There you have it. It starts with the owners right? Also how did Cleveland win with Lebron? Was it the owner? How have they been since he left? It’s the same owner. The players control this league like it or not. Had Giannis chosen to leave Milwaukee they would never had won. The man is a beast and had 50 of their 105 points that last game. I was glad to see him do it the hard way.

There is a reason Trae was 4-17 and 0-6 from 3 that game. He also missed the previous 2 games because of that injury. The best lineup is Ball, Rozier, Hayward, Middleton, and Giannis. I would think any rational Bucks fan would take that in a heartbeat. The NBA doesn’t really work that way. Do you think the Lakers won last year because of the team’s owner? It’s a player’s league and they jump around to form super teams. Lebron went down to Miami won a couple, back to Cleveland won another, and then to LA and won another. The Bucks are the exception to the rule because they have one insanely good player and played a injured Nets team then got matched up against a Suns team that go there beating a Lakers team without AD, Nuggets team without Murray, and Clippers team without Leonard. Jordan is far from a good owner, but it’s going to be tough to build a team in small market Charlotte. Look at how the Spurs have struggled since their stars retired…

Hope, but be real. We don't know what Darnold is, but that's OK.

Well said! I agree with most if not all of what you posted. -
Ball, Hayward, and Rozier. You can pretty much can replace anyone but Giannis and Middleton (maybe Jrue). They closed out an ATL team with an injured Trae Young…

If only….

Drop like a rock??? He was projected to be the 3rd/4th QB drafted. The Niners preferred Lance which left the Lions as the next team at 7 needing a QB (and they just got Goff). He dropped to 11? You know around the area Mahomes and Watson were drafted. Dropping like a rock would be Rodgers going from potentially 1 to 24. -

I thinking 9-8 to 8-9.

They might not be very happy with Rodgers pretty soon…

IF Tepper was pushing for Fields, IF Darnold struggles, and IF Fields lights it up early then yeah Rhule could be on the hot seat, but that is 3 IFs. I don’t think Cam is really relevant to Rhule anymore. The Pats missed the playoffs and drafted a QB in the first during year 1 of Cam… -

2015 Cam was great! 2020… -
Oh that one!

Yeah it’s the David Carr Effect. If you are getting hit on 75% of your throws you get happy feet and rush passes during the 25% you are protected. They begin to expect pressure even when it’s not there, because more times than not it is. It happens with most QBs except it’s during the span of a game vs the whole season. How do you beat Tom Brady? Get pressure on him, get him off rhythm and even his passes from a “clean pocket” will be off. -

It like some play action with faking faking the fake handoff. -

Almost makes you wonder if the Niners leaked it to keep the Jets or another team trading up to 2 from looking too hard into Lance. Seemed unnecessary, but who knows…. -
< 3.5% of the total cap…combined. Maximizing Reddick/Burns in 2021.

Stop feeding the trolls! It ruins threads… Reddick’s contract is a potential steal for us and PFF (like it or love it) agrees! https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-top-32-nfl-contract-rankings -
What are our options if Darnold Gets Injured?

I think I agree with this much more than the top 2 at their position.
-
So the league MVP isn’t elite. Got it. Super Bowl appearances are what makes them elite? So would Henry not be an elite RB since his team never made the Super Bowl?
-
Too many variables. So the elite QBs are Brady and Mahomes? This makes Russ and Rodgers not elite? One was just the MVP of the league…

I don’t think a player like Watson would be out of the picture because of Darnold. The off field issues would be much bigger of a concern than Darnold. -
Ah yes Belichick will have Cam playing great this year, because he (the head coach) said he is looking good. Bill is never going to give away much info aside from generic answers as stated in this article. My question is if Cam is looking so good, why did they draft Mac in the 1st?
