Lol if seeing the owner of a team's face upsets you that match then I probably wouldn't watch much content by said team. If you are looking to be upset the have at it (I'm guessing this is the case). It showed an owner that has mad bad decisions appear to be letting someone who knows more about football make the decisions. He didn't even appear to know who Wallace was. This simply a "behind the scenes" feel good video about how the draft happened. You had to know the owner's face was going to appear.... I mean he was sitting in the War Room... This thread shows the same people always upset being upset. That is your point. I see plenty of comments from people actually getting decent info from this. Like the Wallace decisions and Dan's connections to other former players like Latupu who also ranked Wallace high, Tilis getting excited about having that 5th year for XL, seeing how Tilis worked the trades while Morgan had his guys ranked with Canales, noticing how they seemed set on getting a solid NB etc... Plenty to take away aside from "Oh no I saw Tepper and Tepper bad!!!"

You are missing the point. Yes Tepper has been a bad owner. Good job pointing that out as everyone on here knows this. This blueprint video shows nothing wrong being done by him. If you are watching this video (yes put out by his organization) and walked away from it freaking out about him sitting in a War Room (like most owners do) while his GM tells him what they are doing you are literally trying to find something to get mad about. Obviously it came from his team and they aren't going to make him look bad and it really did not make him look bad. It was a video focusing on Morgan running his first draft working with Tilis and Canales clearly had previous input. We can theorize whatever we want happened behing closed doors, but this video looks normal as designed.

Win record is legit. Crying over him being normal is just meaningless whining. Sitting in a War Room while the GM and staff work the draft would be considered normal behavior. Finding this 30 seconds he was on this video and freaking out is just overreaction and takes away from when he is legit meddling.

She inquired with Morgan about trading up if the guy "we both like" falls. It was more of seeing what his game plan was. I mean we did trade up, one spot at minimal cost. I swear a Tepper could sneeze and people on here would have a meltdown.

Parts of it I am sure. I like seeing the conversations in the War Room during the draft.

I think it’s just showing behind the scenes of their preparation and how/why they drafted the way they did. People are looking too much into this little promo video.

I really don't see how anyone can see this video as a negative. Yes it has to get through Panthers PR since they are the ones releasing it so I'm sure it only highlighted good things. You can tell this was Morgan's baby with previous input from Canales with his "he was the one we really liked" "he is one of us" comments. Morgan is literally explaining to Tepper the players they like and where they can get them. Tepper is the owner and will be in the War Room, but through the eyes of the video (yes that's a big disclaimer) it was Morgan's draft with Tillis helping him move around to get his guys. That's the way it should be. He brought the scouts in for the later round players.

Tillis and Morgan work great together We definitely moved up for XL’s 5th year option Several teams had Brooks as RB1 Love seeing Morgan and apparently Taputu speak highly of Wallace Jewell and Shaq could be fun to watch together. I think Jewell is a low key great addition.

Hey if she made the picks, we would at least have Stroud.

I understand some excuses to argue a point, but to say we had THREE of the most renowned QB coaches last year is pretty much a straight fabrication of the truth….

I’m assuming you are talking about Caldwell who coached Manning briefly (after he was already good similar to Adam Gase who coached Darnold), and is the other one Reich who used old Rivers, old Ryan, and tried to fix Wentz but couldn’t do it. I have no clue who the 3rd guy could possibly be? I think you are just a Darnold fan because he has a big arm. So did Jamarcus Russell, and Ryan Leaf. Shanahan let him walk and O’Connell was desperate to draft a QB after signing Darnold because these coaches know he isn’t the solution. Temporary starter/backup is what Sam is. He just doesn’t have the football IQ to be a franchise guy. Most QBs don’t.

Oh it’s made the decision easier knowing we were years away from competing. He just obviously didn’t think it was some sort of clown show as he took a job with that staff and still hangs around to help. Injuries were the major concern. Willis retired “early” as well, plus there was another very young LB in SF that did. Positions that take a lot of impact are starting to not push themselves too late in their careers to protect their long term health.

Pretty polarizing. However, I think the point of this thread was QBs drafted #1 overall. Just showing how they typical struggle and go into bad situations.

If we are stuck worried about how much we have to pay him next year, it should mean a lot of good things happened on offense.

There are a bunch of solid FA options next year. I wonder if that will cause the market price to drop a bit. Right now it’s at a high and we aren’t 100% sure how good he will be in a different system plus how XL and Mingo develop. I’d wait until the offseason personally…

Mac Jones outshined Trevor Lawrence his rookie year. Now he is his backup. Let’s just see what happens and yes supporting cast and coaching matters. It’s what ultimately ruined Mac’s career and sustained Trevor’s.

He is still pretty involved with the current team. He retired for heath reasons or he would have simply asked for a trade. Retiring because you don’t trust the staff then immediately taking a job for that staff as a scout makes no sense….

Could be either. I’d say that having a shaky OL most of the year creates bad habits and bad footwork. Regardless he needs to get better here.

100%. He has a huge hole right here to step up in or just the off. Thats a learning curve college vs NFL thing IMO.
