Most overused cliche in an argument. Fact is many times guys just have some bad luck and may have a string of injuries then play years without missing a game. Especially if you’re talking about non soft tissue related injuries. Thomas Davis came back from three ACL injuries and then missed only 3 games for the next 6 seasons. Works both ways, some who never got hurt suddenly can’t get on the field. Jonathan Taylor never missed a game in HS, college, or NFL until this season and suddenly mister reliable can’t get on the field and has to be placed on IR. Bottom line, stop saying that Jaycee Horn is injury prone. Yesterday’s injury was unfortunate but any player in the same position would have suffered the same injury. There’s nothing inherent about his style of play that would even remotely suggest that he won’t still have a long and productive NFL career.

I honestly think Darnold can do a lot more but he has to gain the trust to do that. Behind this offensive line he’s not running for his life anymore
-
Interestingly TD played with a cast, but wrist injuries are more tricky to heal. I am sure he will play if possible and the team can somehow sneak into the playoffs. I just don’t feel good about this secondary holding up
-
Aghh that’s what I was afraid of
-
Not his fault, it’s tackle football
-
Anyone know if he broke his wrist? This secondary blows without him

Jaycee injury looks bad, broken hand? -
Best available QB at 8th whoever that is. We need to keep trying until we hit, no choice
-
Yep, last time we were this hyped was last year when we were 3-0 was thinking we’re going to the Super Bowl. Then Sam Darnold, and the entire team just fell flat on its face. The only difference is now its Wilksinstead of Rhule, but I still don’t trust that Sam Darnold won’t fold under pressure.
-
Yet Trey Lance has not performed
-
What’s with the poo reactions, just saying for a 7th rounder he has done more than most first rounders. He is more reliable, accurate and poised than Darnold or Walker.
-
Damn, we should’ve included this kid in the CMC trade package. I know it’s a great offense, but I am impressed by his ability to step in and make it look easy.
-
There is a good vibe about the team right now. They’re playing hard, physical and seem to rally behind Wilks and are winning more despite deficiencies with offensive playcalling and quarterbacks. That’s not something you just take away, you keep Wilks and let him build on it
-
To bring the energy back to the stadium and keep the ugly yellow towels out of it
-
Not sure what you’re saying. Typically, defensive guys would have just settled for a field goal and he was actually being aggressive and trusting that the defense would take advantage of the field position. Having been burned by Rhule I am good with giving Wilks, a known commodity, a three year contract provided he brings on better coaching staff to handle the offense while staying true to the team’s identity as a physical team.
-
Rivera team would have laid an egg after a bye week. Wilks had his team ready to go and win a tough road game against a good team. They’re not the same. He can’t open up the pass game until two things happen: 1. He has an OC who has a better passing scheme while still being a running team 2. he has a QB who can make downfield throws consistently and not turn the ball over
-
I agree, he is a WR1, was just expressing concern about lack of focus or effort. That said, Darnold was the checkdown king yesterday so maybe that had something to do with it too
-
This is what I think happened too
-
Is at their best again another benefit of not having Rhule micromanaging them instead of worrying about actual football.

I actually think Sam’s throw was fine, DJ was slow coming out of his break
-
Honestly don’t even care anymore. Let’s just roll with Darnold next year
