It does't nr who Tepper wanted, he's not the talent evaluator. At any rate, the biggest point is that this negates the notion that somehow Sewell was going to be the pick or that Panthers panicked when he came off board and had to scramble to pick Horn like some on here think.

I wanted Fields tbh, you have to get the QB position right but I understand the gamble on Darnold.

We picked a bad draft to draft for need. I have a hard time believing he was BPA at -#8. Ultimately this pick will be judged on how Darnold does and how Fields transitions to the NFL

Now that Teddy is gone, it’s a high probability we will draft a QB if he should fall down to #8. I would still consider Trey Lance in addition to Fields.

I don’t remember ever anticipating the NFL draft so much. Even when we drafted Cam I wasn’t this impatient because I knew what was coming. This draft has me counting the hours and minutes. It feels like the most consequential draft in decades. For year 2 of Rhule regime, they have to hit a homerun and take the next step towards becoming a winning franchise. There are so many unknowns. Do Panthers truly believe Darnold is the answer and draft a top LT, do they still draft a QB, maybe trade back and fill more holes on the roster? I don’t care anymore let’s fugin go!
