Bottom line - Bryce has shown he can be a playmaker and not just a game manager. His recent performances with game on the line show that. Bryce Young recent game-winning drive attempts: vs. Saints: 3:26 remaining in the 4th. 4 plays, 64 yards, go-ahead TD. vs. Chiefs: 3:21 remaining in 4th. 5 plays, 49 yards, game-tying TD and two-point conversion. vs. Bucs: 3:05 remaining in 4th. 9 plays, 60 yards, go-ahead TD. Then went 25 yards in 4 plays in OT to set up game-winning field goal before Chuba lost a fumble. vs. Eagles: 2:58 remaining in 4th. 13 plays, 45 yards, go-ahead TD dropped by Legette. You can't ask for much more than this.

I could care less if he's "elite", that's a term that has become overused. There are only few true elite QBs in history and only 2 or 3 any given year. I want my QB to be competitive, competent, and give us a fighting chance to win every week. I think Bryce has shown promise he can do that consistently, can be clutch when the pressure is on. Now let's build a whole team around him instead of chasing "elite". He may never "justify" what Tepper gave up to trade for him but that's sunk cost and completely irrelevant as we evaluate our roster needs going forward.

We are a few plays away from being 6-7 and in the hunt this year but just don’t have enough talent to finish these close games. Next year we will legitimately compete for division but that depends on injuries, our offseason draft and FA activities.
