  1. Corral still has a chance to develop and is on a cheap rookie contract. Keep him on and see what haopens
  2. Doesn’t have to be Mahomes, I will take Burrow
  3. Exactly, in terms of value, that's like next year's third.
  4. Pick #1 and #9 are swaps. The additional compenssation is one 1st, two 2nds, and DJ
  5. But it's clear that Stroud and Young are the class of the draft, it would be very stupid to even consider Levis or Richardson. Those guys have value at pick #9, but you didn't just trade to the #1 spot to do that.
  6. Because they listen to the pundits who are biased toward big market teams like Chicago. This is a good trade for Chicago too IF Justin Fields develops into a true franchise QB and a competent passer (jury's still out). It'll also be interesting to see if DJ Moore can prove to be the WR1 that Fields needs to do that. For the Panthers, it's absolutely a great trade assuming that CJ Stroud or B. Young is our franchise QB for the next 10-15 years. Simple as that and totally worth it. I honestly thought we would have to give up two additional firsts and trading DJ instead is better because I'm not sure he has that value with his contract.
  7. I always knew / hoped we wouldn’t sign Carr so never got on that rollercoaster
  8. Higgins sticks out to me because Benglas can’t keep both him and Chase and Higgins wants to prove he is WR1. Why not Carolina? I would try to make a trade for him now because with him only a year away from FA, the asking price should be lower and you don’t have ti overbid in signing him in FA
  9. Tepper needs to stay away he doesn’t know anything about QBs
  10. Agent 89 approves https://twitter.com/stevesmithsr89/status/1634328488634204164?s=46&t=uRReWX1HTwFi0uSNkavY5w
  11. I'm going to love it if we trade for the #1 pick and watch this place implode. Do it Panthers!
  12. Panthers shouldn't do this because of the huge contract he'll demand.
  13. I think 49ers set the price two years ago but theirs was a late first. I think Panthers should stay put at two first, a second, and a third.
  14. I think this happens if they sign Derek Carr or another vet QB and draft a 'prospect' at #9 like Anthony Richardson.
  15. I think Tepper and Fitterer are even more impatient than us. It's happening this year, we're drafting a QB in the first round.
  16. He's a baller for sure. Size is the only thing that gives me pause due to higher potential of injury
  17. They're putting the pressure on. They're clearly talking about us.
  18. You think he should be #1 on the board even if others are hypothetically available at #9?
  19. I think Fitterer put it in perspective last week during the press conference. If you trade up and mortgage your future, you better have really strong conviction about the QB you're draft. I honestly think only CJ Stroud is the pick that would warrant that risk.
  20. Irrespective of our current draft position, or whether it's realistic to move up to #3 or #1, who should be the first QB on the Panthers draft board after the Combine? For me, it's still CJ Stroud! As impressive as Anthony Richardson was as a physical athletic specimen, and he does have a strong arm. I think CJ Stroud was easily the most impressive of any QBs. He showed a lively arm, with tight spirals, quick release and accuracy. His deep ball was on point too. What say you?
  21. “Should we do this before free agency? Or should we wait?” he said. “I don’t know. That’s what I’ve communicated [to teams]. I could carry this all the way until we’re on the clock the night of the draft. But then there’s teams that want some certainty because, ‘If I need a quarterback bad, should I do that now when some of these guys, like Derek Carr, are out there?’ To me, they’ve got to go so much more above to do it now. “I’m not greedy with it. But they’re gonna have to go above and beyond to close the door now.” It’s crazy this year that there’s not a no-doubt quarterback in the group, yet there could be a frenzy to get to number one. Houston (picking two and 12), Indianapolis (four), Vegas (seven) and Carolina (nine), and possibly Tennessee (11) or Seattle (five), could all engage Poles aggressively. For Poles, and for the recently star-crossed Bears, this pick could plant the first-round seeds for a long-term rebuild. A much-needed one. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/03/06/ryan-poles-chicago-bears-nfl-combine-draft-peter-king-fmia/
  22. Agree CJ Stroud is the least likely to be a bust and therefore the only one I would trade up for.
