Eh, with all of the preseason reps he got I would think he is prepared to at least run the offense. I would think the whole point of benching him, unless the scenario I described, would be to keep him off the field as much as possible. He has been simply atrocious.

Duh. At no point last year except for the 2nd half of the GB game did Bryce look like a QB near, or especially not above, the Mendoza line (Dalton line...). Him showing up and playing markedly WORSE this year just drove that point home.

It was always going to be an uphill battle with him no matter what due to the inferior physical tools. Was a bad pick at that spot from the start that looks even worse now.

He means that Dalton hasn't had a winning record in a season as a starter since 2015, which is true. However, several seasons were at .500 or just below it, so still notably better than anything Carolina has put on the field in years.

This is absolutely pathetic. Whether Canales, Bryce, or whatever combo thereof, my son's 8th grade QB was throwing the ball 40 air yards this week. Just insane to AGAIN be seeing this out of Bryce and this offense.

Don't get me wrong - this is not an excuse. However, to state an extreme example illustrating the point, dropping into KC is a very different situation than Carolina. IMO Bryce was always going to cap out at Teddy-lite IMO in the best of all cases. It's just a hypothetical.

Reich was an atrocious hire from the start, so while no one predicted that big of a flameout from the team the failure itself is unsurprising. For that reason I don't really blame Reich either; never should have been hired in the first place. Now Rhule... Rhule shouldn't have been hired either but that dude was (is) a blowhard. I absolutely blame him for trying to turn Carolina into a college program.
