  1. Don't need a 1000 yard receiver (though it would be great to find one on the cheap). They need someone to get 600-700 yards on about 40-50 catches, which represents a deeper threat to take the pressure off of the two 1000 yard receivers already on the roster. That said, it would be great to find someone to grow alongside KB, and I'm sure the team will grab that person if the situation is right.
  2. Call me skeptical on the 'overpaid' factor, though some will say that even vet min is overpaying.
  3. Interesting bit of useless trivia - in 4 career games against Carolina, he's not had more than 83 rushing yards, and the 2009 team held him to 35 yards on 12 carries.
  4. He has 4 years of starting experience and has played both sides - someone somewhere will bring him in to compete and he'll stick on someone's roster. I personally think that he isn't coming back because Carolina told them they would be upgrading and he wants to try to find a starting job rather than becoming a backup, which is his prerogative.
  5. They tagged Demaryius, not Julius. Unless you meant Demaryius.

    Bad friend

Just stop contacting her and see what happens. If she wants to get together, she'll make the effort. If not, you'll have your answer and simplified your life in one pass.
  7. Would be a quality draft, and I suppose the assumption here is that the value isn't there at WR or DL and/or that Carolina got a receiver they wanted in FA.
  8. Did you actually read what I wrote? I gave and give him full credit for his exceptional awareness on that play, but being a heads-up player does not equate to being a good punt returner and running in a straight line on a freak play is not equivalent to a traditional punt return. I think he's a good player with a ton of upside, but that specific play was a fluke.
  9. I agree with you, and Bene's abiliy at both spots gives the Panthers flexibilitywhen it comes to corners. If the value is there during the draft for a guy better suited on the outside, they could take the same approach they did with Captain and let Bene play outside in the base and move inside in the nickel.
  10. I'll give Brown credit for toughness and a hell of a heads-up play on that punt return, but that TD does not fall in the category of a typical punt return. Almost any DB/WR/RB or a couple of Carolina's LBs could have picked that ball up and scored with it.
  11. I like both those guys as actors, but that's pretty funny right there.
  12. Nope. Speed is desirable, but not the diva action. Will be interesting to see unfold.
  13. Not really, but the difference will be that players won't be paid for their legacy, THey will just have to recognize that their value is directly raltead to potential future performance. There are salary cap advantages to carrying older players at lower prices, but older players don't often want to play for lower prices.
  14. The Cowboys and Redskins did that, or something like it, and it didn't quite work out as planned.
  15. Garry Williams is another. He's actually been on the team since 09... crazy. Not sure he's ever finished a season.
  16. I'm just now making my way through Breaking Bad and can see why they picked Saul for the spinoff.
  17. Agreed - pretty hard to argue with the results thus far, though 2 years is still a somewhat small sample size.
  18. Hannibal Navies is the guy who (inadvertently) broke Smitty's ankle in the 2004 opener against the Packers.
  19. Matt Campbell was a pretty solid tackle.
