In a deep qb class should the panther take one day 3?
PleaseCutStewart replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
Depending on how Jordan Travis has healed from his injury, wouldn't mind taking him in round 5 or later. Granted, I am an FSU fan and have bias -

Morgan / Canales leash…. 3 seasons?
PleaseCutStewart replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't know... With Tepper's short leash, if we are like 1-10 again to start the season with Young looking as terrible as last year, I can see Tepper firing them both because of his hubris and not accepting the fact that Young is a bust. Tepper would rather fire everybody else in the organization rather than admit he was wrong in trusting a stupid test in thinking that Bryce was the best QB in the class. -
Any idea of what Young is doing in the offseason to improve?

Why carolina can not* afford to lose Burns
PleaseCutStewart replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
Honestly, I disagree a lot. We can very much afford to lose burns because we are beginning a pretty long rebuild. There is no way I am paying him the 30 million per year he wants to be an above average pass rusher that can't play the run. I won't argue that he has no other talented pass rushers around him, but he isn't in the top end elite category that would command the money he wants. Honestly, I'm not sure any team pays him that -

Yep, give Purdy the poo weapons Cam had with god awful Mike Shula calling plays and lets see how great Purdy would be then... I'll give Purdy credit - he is making the most of the luxury he has. But the dude has a top 5 oline, probably #1 weapons, a top 10 defense, and an offensive genius for a HC. I think most QBs could be put into that situation and thrive. -

Nope, but the Lions win the game if Dan Campbell knew what a FG was -
Did the panthers lose on the CMC trade?
PleaseCutStewart replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
Obviously we lost the trade. But... having CMC here wouldn't have made much sense for us. We knew we had a long rebuild ahead of us (well, everybody except our retard owner) and CMC would have been on his last legs by the time we were relevant again. I still wish we had gotten a 1st for him instead of trading him for day 2 picks to a team we knew was going to be top 5-10 -

Their defense is solid. They have been one of the best run defenses in the NFL this year and have made most teams they have played one dimensional. I won't argue that their pass D is absolutely awful -

After the debacle of a coaching job Dan Campbell did today, the Lions should seriously consider firing him and hiring Ben Johnson as HC -
J person, Athletic. Canales has one job Fix Young

We badly need Bryce to be Pickles 2.0 and tank us to the #1 pick -

PleaseCutStewart replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well.... The good news is I don't think we have to worry about a sophomore slump for Bryce. Slump implies playing worse and I am not sure it is possible for Bryce to look any worse than he did last year... -
Canales Hire Temperature Gauge
PleaseCutStewart replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
My feeling... We could have done worse - we could have been the Falcons and hired Raheem Morris... That being said, I don't see this guy succeeding here, just like his predecessors -
The Last 3 Drafts We Had 22 Total Selections...
PleaseCutStewart replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
In all fairness, if Horn could stay healthy, he is bordering on Revis island level of shutdown. Unfortunately he just can't stay healthy, and is made worse by the fact that he didnt have injury concerns prior to being drafted. I still think we should buy low on him now and give him a good contract while he is still cheapish and hope he can avoid the injury bug. As for the rest of the picks... Yeah, they sucked. I still think Icky is good in the right scheme and think Mays is solid depth. But yeah, those are some ugly drafts... -
Seeing as how Tepper immediately hired him, I will assume it was the wrong move... I hope I am wrong because I loved Dan Morgan as a player, but I'm not too thrilled about this hire

Pretty confident its gonna be Dan Morgan GM
PleaseCutStewart replied to Frank9999's topic in Carolina Panthers
Great, now my love for Dan Morgan as a player will all but vanish as he is probably as crappy of a GM as his predecessors.... Somebody please build me a time machine so I can go forward in time 10-15 years and see if we are still the laughingstock of the NFL -
Man we need Freddie and Pyotr to get healthy ASAP

NFL Playoffs Divisional Round - Games Thread

Buffalo's D is getting picked apart by Mahomes. Might be a long day for them if their offense doesn't have their A game -
Injecting HGH into his throwing arm every day until the preseason?
-
The difference is even if CJ Stroud were "bad" for us, he would still make those wow throws that would make you realize he is legit and the future. How many has Bryce had the entire season... like 3??? Lets call a spade a spade - Bryce is a fringe NFL QB starter that is stuck on a team void of offensive talent. Both can be possible and sadly is the case.

Baker has much better weapons than we do. We had DJ, CMC for half the year, and a bunch of JAGs last year. We also shouldn't forget that McDooDoo's playcalling was atrocious until maybe the last 5 games of the year. Personally, I thought both Baker and Sammy Boy were solid QBs - they are game managers that can get the ball to good skill position players. Not sure if Baker just didn't care to be with us or what, but I personally thought Darnold was good for us last year overall

One of the most energetic, fiery leaders we have had on defense since this franchise first existed and even he can't make it through a game without doing something more entertaining - mowing the grass, netflixing, watching paint dry, or just the easy method TD chose of falling asleep

Yeah, give me chaos and a ratings nightmare type of superb owl please

Man, the freefall of the Eagles the past month and change has been quite unsuspecting. Maybe the Titans were smart to get rid of AJ Brown - seems like he might be a diva
