Who is falling for the Peacock Wildcard bullshitt
PanthersATL replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
Maybe, maybe not. I mean, I see your point but there’s this twist: look at the negotiation Spectrum/Charter did with Disney last year. They negotiated the inclusion of the Disney streaming apps for their customers into the cable bundle. Disney gave in because (in part) they know they’ll have a bigger battle selling ESPN direct to consumer for the predicted $30/month price point vs what the $12/mo they’re getting from cable now. And because of how carriage contracts are written, you should expect to see the same happening with Comcast, Verizon, and others down the line. yes, some cable providers are shutting down the TV service in lieu of providing only broadband access…and while its shrinking, there is still an audience who appreciates the convenience and AYCE approach cable provides vs managing multiple services. the streamers are finding that it may be more cost effective to focus on content rather than manage content+distribution. -
Hahahaha that geico caveman SB commercial preview was worthwhile

Who is falling for the Peacock Wildcard bullshitt

It's circling back to a cable bundle model, as streamers (other than netflix) are all losing money and figure merging services is the solution -

Just wait until the pending ESPN/NFL Network deal closes. NFL gets partial ownership in ESPN, ESPN gets the NFL Media library and potentially more exclusive streaming-only games https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-nfl-espn-in-advanced-talks-for-media-deal -
It's just $6 for a month, and you can watch Traitors or Poker Face or other reasonable ok Peacock exclusives before canceling

Booo Was looking forward to a snow/ice/frozen bowl. I mean, I get it. But still

In buffalo tomorrow, they’re expecting a high of 24 degrees with winds gusting near 50 miles per hour. And maybe 6in of snow We appreciate that they play football outdoors in (almost) any weather. Makes the games more interesting to adjust for.

Should be fun: the Dolphins will face “dangerously cold temperatures” in Kansas City and the Bills and Steelers will play in snowy, windy Buffalo. Meanwhile, FOX will be offering the GB v DAL game in upscaled 4k (based on a 1080p HDR feed, not native 4K) on Sunday afternoon (available via the Fox Sports streaming app utilizing your cable package login) or on special 4K channels via DirecTV, Dish, Comcast, Verizon, Optimum, YoutubeTV, and FuboTV. If you're using the Fox Sports app, 4K will only be supported on AppleTV 4K, or Roku / Amazon Fire devices that support 4K. DirecTV/AT&T UVerse will not be airing any game this weekend on a Tegna station, due to ongoing contract negotiations. The KC-MIA game will be on Peacock (and aired on a local broadcast channel in those teams' local markets), as well as on mobile devices that have access to NFL+.

Some on air talent have received legitimate trophies (due to an Emmy rule change) but most of the incorrect ones were taken back by the Emmy organization.

Panthers OFFICIALLY Announced to Play in Munich.
PanthersATL replied to Panthercougar68's topic in Carolina Panthers
It is. We have 9 home games this season, which allows for the one Intl home game without taking away the standard 8 home game ticket sales -

Considering this has been planned for at least three years ... totally not based on this past season's performance -

Can't imagine there's not anybody in his immediate circle telling him he needs to back off and just let the professionals work. Nicole, at least.

Hiring a GM and team president and then getting out of the way (aside from cutting an occasional check) would be a start
-
Even our 1-15 season, we were competitively in most games giving some hope of a win each week. This year we didn’t have a chance in 90% of them.

Selling won’t fix the on field issues.

Based on what the idiot Fox guy said, the KILL KILL is always a run play anyway and is just changing directions. I agree would be nice to be a switch from run to pass, but the explanation makes sense -
